| A few weeks went by, and Kevin and Magdalena tried to remain friends. They tried to go on with their daily routines, and tried not to think of the night by the pool. Kevin tried to remain focused on his music, and the upcoming promotional tour for the new album. But when he arrived home, he would see Magdalena in her natural beauty making his days seem better. He grew very attached to Magdalena, because he knew what a great person she was. Magdalena grew to love Kevin also. She noticed the difference between Nathan and Kevin. Kevin seemed to take care of her, yet she protected her. Kevin never physically harmed Magdalena, and allowed her to have her own personal space. Magdalena began to love how her life was turning out. Her body was clear of bruises, cuts, and scars. She could finally look and the mirror and love the person she saw. She seemed to be more comfortable with herself, and felt she could finally be free with who she was. Magdalena also grew a very tight bond with AJ. He made Magdalena seem more free and spontaneous. They used to spend a lot of time together, but it was strictly on a friendship basis. AJ knew that Kevin and Magdalena still had feelings for each other, but didn't know how to bring them together. One day, AJ and Magdalena were downtown spending the afternoon together. AJ took Magdalena to a special place that wasn't far from the local malls. When they got out of his car, Magdalena realized AJ drove her to a piercing and tattoo parlor. "Alex, where the fuck are we?" Magdalena said as she walked over towards the building. "My friend Spike works here. I told him about you, and he said to bring you down and to hook you up." AJ said. "Hook me with up with what? I'm not getting a piercing. That's against dress code policies at my job." "No, piercing hurt too much. Trust me, I know," AJ said, while pointing to his labret piercing, "But how about a tattoo?" "No way." Magdalena protested. Within an hour and a half, Magdalena and AJ were back at his apartment staring at Magdalena's new tattoo. AJ traced Magdalena's new dark and light blue butterfly with his finger. He loved that she got it on her lower back, and not on her arms. "Damn girl. This is the sexiest butterfly I've ever seen on a woman. Maybe it's you or something." AJ said. Magdalena only blushed, and looked into the mirror to see it. Magdalena giggled and asked if AJ really liked it. "No, I don't like it. I LOVE it! Any guy would love it. I think Kevin would dig it." AJ said. Magdalena put her hair up in a bun, and began to think about her feelings for Kevin. She realized that she still loved Kevin, and knew he felt the same way, but was too scared to tell Kevin how she felt. She was afraid that her assumptions were wrong, and that the rejection would kill her. "So what's the deal with you two anyway? You've been living together for a while, and I can see you two want each other..." AJ said, right before Magdalena cut in. "Excuse me? We do not want each other. I knew you shouldn't have told you about that incident at the pool." "Come on. You said that kiss really affected you, and I'm just saying that you two are bond to hook up together. I can see it. Kevin's has been talking about you lately. At the studio, he wonders if you're okay, or what you're doing. He drives everyone else crazy, but..." AJ said, before Magdalena interrupted again. "It's sweet," Magdalena then flopped down on AJ's couch and sighed, "God, it's obvious that we want each other. That kiss by the pool was intense. I mean we haven't kissed like that in forever. The only time we kissed like that was when we made love." AJ sat down next to Magdalena and urged her to tell Kevin how she felt. "Are you crazy? I can't tell him. What if he doesn't want me? What if I'm going crazy myself?" "Magdalena, you need to calm down and chill. I know for a fact that Kevin feels the same way. He's just waiting for you to tell him." AJ said. "How do I tell him how I feel?" "That's a very good question." AJ said. AJ then stared at the floor for a few seconds, and gasped. "I've got it. Look we're leaving soon to promote the new album, right?" AJ said. Magdalena shook her head, agreeing with him. "So... you need to take a few weeks vacation from work, and come on the road with us." "Even if I could get the vacation time, how will this bring me closer to Kevin?" "Just see if you can get the time off from work. I'll take care of everything else." AJ said. Magdalena agreed, and stayed at AJ's house for a little longer. Eventually AJ drove her home, and kissed her goodnight. As they kissed, Kevin was in the living room waiting. He noticed the kiss, and had the feeling that he could never get back together with Magdalena. He felt that AJ was taking Magdalena away from him. When Magdalena walked into the house, she noticed a hurt look on Kevin's face. She asked Kevin what was wrong, but Kevin hid his true feelings. "I was just worried if you were going to get home safe." Kevin said. "You know I don't want anything to happen to you." "That's sweet of you to say." Magdalena replied, just before kissing Kevin on his forehead. "Listen I'm going to go to bed." Magdalena was approaching the stairs, when Kevin stopped her. "What's up Kevin?" She asked. "Wait. Our managers said it was okay that we could invite girlfriends and other personal friends on tour with us, so I was wondering...." "You want me to go with you?" Magdalena asked. "Yes. I mean you're really important to me, and I would really enjoy you being with me. Plus it'll be a great vacation for you." "Sure I'll go with you, but I need to figure out if my boss is going...." "Don't worry about it. He said it was cool, and he told you to have fun. I mean you deserve to get out of this environment for a while. You need to experience new things." Kevin said. Magdalena then kissed Kevin on his cheek and thanked him for this chance to go with him. Kevin smiled and said she didn't need to thank him. Kevin then kissed Magdalena on her forehead and allowed her to go to bed. |
