Chapter 3
The next morning Breanne woke up early and prepared for her audition for the new Justin Timberlake video. Usually Breanne was nervous right before her auditions, but on her way to the private location, she seemed calm. She figured it must be because she was thinking about other things besides dancing.

She arrived at a private location around ten thirty, with her head held up high and a smile on her face. As she walked in, she was approached by a handsome black man, that was around her age. He shook her hand, and introduced himself as the choreographer. He escorted her inside the main studio, and she was introduced to the other dancers. The choreographer went over the routine once, and split the girls up into three groups. Breanne was in group one, and did the routine almost flawlessly. After two hours, she was told she would be one of the five girls in the new video. Joy busted from her eyes, which was normal feeling for her after she landed an audition.

She left the studio happy, and immediately called Kevin. His cell phone rang and rang without an answer, which made Breanne curious. She figured he must have been busy, and left a message. She was preparing to get into he car, when she received a phone call from David. Breanne was shocked that David actually called."Hey you!" She answered, and tried to hold back her smiling. David planned for the two of them have dinner at a nice Mexican restaurant, and wanted to pick her up at seven. Breanne cordially agreed and hung up the phone.

After running some errands, Breanne arrived at her house around three. She checked her messages, and found out she would have two rehearsals for the new video starting tomorrow morning. She smiled because she was a little excited about being in a video with Justin Timberlake. She always thought that he was absolutely talented, and not to mention good looking. She then looked around her house and found her Justified CD, and made a note to herself to start listening to the CD more often in order to learn the song she was going to be performing.

A little bit later, Breanne took a long shower and prepared for her date. She decided to wear a short black skirt, a black shirt and matching leather go-go boots. She figured she go out looking casual, and not over the top gorgeous. She then brushed her hair, and put on her make-up. She kept thinking to herself to stay confident. Maybe David was different. Maybe he would surprise her and not be another arrogant man that wanted to pursue her. Soon enough she was finished getting ready, and glanced at the mirror one final time. She sighed and then heard her doorbell. She quickly walked to the door to see David standing there in a nice suit and holding a white rose. Breanne smiled graciously, and accepted the gift. "I hope to see more of that beautiful smile." David said.

Breanne then grabbed her jacket and headed out the door. For most of the night David and Breanne entertained each other with quirky stories. Breanne told David about how she decided to pursue dance, and decided to move from Orlando to Los Angeles. David told Breanne that he was a freelance photographer that did a lot of work for magazines and for certain musicians. And Breanne felt she was actually having fun. She wasn't annoyed or upset. She was laughing, smiling, and not thinking about Kevin. She felt it was refreshing to be out with a man that didn't have any romantic baggage. And it was obvious that David enjoyed Breanne's company.

Later they decided to leave the restaurant and went to a local pool hall to play a few rounds of pool. The couple continued to have a great time, but soon Breanne's cell phone rang. "Run your mouth." She answered. She then giggled as she glanced at David.

"Sorry for calling like this, but I really need to talk to you." Kevin said. Breanne was shocked to hear Kevin calling her. "Wait! Are you giggling?"

"Yeah, I am as a matter of fact. I'm just playing some pool with David here. But sweetie what do you need to talk to me about?" Breanne asked. She was a little concerned about Kevin. His voice was low, almost whisper like. She sounded a little sad, but was trying not to trouble her.

"No, don't worry about it. You continue on with your date.  I'll just talk to you about it later." Kevin said.

"Oh okay. But hey, you can come by later if you want. I mean if it's really important." Breanne said. Kevin agreed he would be over to her house later that night and hung up. Breanne then put her cell phone back in her purse, and continued her game with David. For the rest of the night, she wondered if Kevin was going to be fine. She kept remembering the tone in his voice. It sounded like something hurtful happened to him. She automatically assumed it dealt with Rachel, and knew Kevin would need a shoulder to cry on.

Finally at midnight, David brought Breanne back home. He politely kissed her on the cheek and insisted they go out again. Breanne liked the concept and said she would call him soon. David got into his car and drove away. Breanne stood there smiling to herself, and she headed for her front door. As she was walking, she felt someone grab her shoulder. She turned and screamed, and saw Kevin standing behind her. "Holy shit! Richardson you scared the hell out of me." Breanne said. She glared at Kevin and tried to make her heart stop racing.

"Are you aware it's midnight?" Kevin asked trying to sound like a concerned parent. "I've been waiting here for like two hours."

"I'm sorry that I had you waiting. But I was out on a date remember!" Breanne said. The two walked inside and sat down in the living room. "So tell me what's up!" Breanne said. She took off her jacket and her boots, and looked at Kevin. She was really concerned because Kevin seemed really reluctant. He wouldn't even look Breanne in the eye. "I know it's bad, because you're not even looking at me sweetie." Breanne said. Kevin then looked up at her, and Breanne saw streams of tears flow down his face. Breanne sighed and gave Kevin a bear hug. "Oh no! Don't cry. It freaks me out when you cry you know."

"I know it's crazy that I'm crying, but it just hurts." Kevin said softly. "It's hurts so bad that I loved her so much and she's gonna throw everything away."

"Throw everything away how?" Breanne asked.

"She's seeing someone else."

"How can you be so sure?"

"I came home early from the studio, and I saw her leaving the house with this guy. She fucking kissed him, got into his car, and left."  Breanne groaned, and tried to understand why Rachel would be so hurtful. Kevin was such a remarkable guy that adored her.

"Wait, what kind of kiss was it?" Breanne asked. She knew asking the question wouldn't make the situation better, but she wanted to get a better view of what Kevin actually saw.

"What kind of question is that Bre? My fucking girlfriend was passionately kissing another guy. What kind of kiss shouldn't matter." Kevin yelled. He then got up out the couch and punched the wall. "God I feel like such a dumb motherfucker to think she still loved me." Kevin screamed. His face was red and he was trying hold back every ounce of negative energy, but he was furious. He loved Rachel intensely. He loved her with every fiber of his being. She was the only woman he felt completed her. He put  up with all  her insecurities about him being unfaithful, and she would turn around and date someone else.

Breanne only sat on the couch quietly. She tried to think calmly before saying anything else because she did not want aggravate Kevin anymore.

Kevin glanced at Breanne, and noticed she had a frightened look in her eyes. He walked over and bent down in front of Breanne. He held her hands, and looked into her brown eyes as calmly as possible. "I'm sorry for yelling at ya. But you gotta understand how I feel. I worshipped the ground Rachel walked on."

"I know you did. Trust me I know you did." Breanne said. She started to remember all the times Kevin would talk about Rachel on a regular basis. She would be brought up in every conversation. It would always annoy Breanne somehow, but she learned to tolerate it. Breanne  hugged Kevin and kissed the top of his head. Kevin stayed in her arms, because he felt Breanne was the only stability around him. "So what are you going to do now?" Breanne asked.

Kevin groaned and replied "I have no idea. I just know I can't go back to the house. At least not for a while. I'm afraid if I go back then I'm going to beat the hell out of her." Breanne started to laugh, and knew Kevin didn't mean what he said. He wasn't one to put his hands on a woman. But Breanne was more than willing to kick Rachel's ass.

"I just better not see her for a while, or she's going to have to deal with me." Breanne said. Kevin chuckled softly and glanced up at Breanne. Her presence warmed his heart. Breanne was the only female besides his own mom that he could really trust. "I have an idea though." Breanne began to say, "Since you don't want to stay at your place. You can crash here for a while."

Kevin seemed a little hesitate to take Breanne's offer, because he didn't want to be in her way.  "Breanne, you really think that's a good idea. I mean what if I'm in your way. Plus I have no place to sleep." Kevin said.

"You won't be in the way. Plus you can share the bed with me. It's really no problem. I mean we've shared a hotel room before. This isn't any different okay. And I'm not taking no for an answer. You might as well say yes." Breanne said. Kevin then finally said yes, and gave Breanne a huge bear hug. They talked for a few more minutes, and prepared for bed.
