| The next morning Breanne woke up around seven thirty, and took a quick shower. She changed into some black Adidas pants and a white spagetti strap shirt, and prepared to go off to rehearsal. She had a smile on her face ,although she was incredibly worried about Kevin. He seemed pretty shaken up last night. Plus she was wondering how he was handling things. By the time she was about to run out the door, she noticed Kevin still lying peacefully in bed. He looked adorable snuggled up in the sheets, being completely oblivious to the world. Breanne sat down next to him and caressed his cheek. She wanted to kiss him badly, but knew she couldn't. Soon she saw his eyes open, and Kevin gave her a smirk. "I see you're already dressed." Kevin said softly. He rubbed his eyes and rolled over on his back. He then sat up and wrapped his arms around Breanne's waist. "Where are you headed?" "I have rehearsal." Breanne replied. She then looked into Kevin's eyes to see if any of his anger disappeared. "How you holding up?" Kevin assured Breanne not to worry about him. But he felt very pissed off still, but realized him crying over things was not going to change what happened. "You do seem a little calmer about this." "I'm a damn adult. I'll be fine." Kevin said. "Now, you should head for work." Breanne then kissed Kevin on his forehead and headed out the door. She wouldn't be back until seven or eight that evening. Which meant Kevin would have the house to himself. He didn't have to go to the studio that day and didn't have much of anything else to do, and figured he would use the day to relieve stress. He got out of bed, took a shower, and began to think about all the time he wasted with Rachel. He remembered he put all his energy to make the relationship work. He remembered going out of his way to please her, even if it annoyed him. Then he started to think about how many things he didn't like about her. Rachel seemed high maintenance, but a lot of his girlfriends were. But Rachel was different. At first she seemed down to earth, but once she discovered Kevin's great success, she took him for granted almost. For the rest of the day, Kevin tried not to think about Rachel by doing things to occupy his mind. He did a few laps in Breanne's pool, and even went to the gym for a few hours. But once he returned home, his angry emotions returned. He prepared dinner for Breanne, and during cooking he started to think that maybe Rachel needed to realize how bad he was hurting. He realized he'd been running away from confronting her about the situation. He knew he was a better man than that, but he knew a simple confrontation wasn't enough. He wanted her to really know how bad she messed up. Kevin wanted Rachel to know what he really lost. But how could he really accomplish that and still have some dignity left? Finally at seven thirty, Kevin finished cooking a nice Italian meal and Breanne walked in the door. Breanne seemed cheerful yet concerned. She took a breath, and noticed that dinner was prepared. "Oh honey, you cooked for me." She said as she walked in the kitchen and greeted Kevin with a kiss on the cheek. Kevin smiled and told Breanne he prepared pasta al burro and the garlic bread was about to come out of the oven. Breanne looked at Kevin and tried to search for some kind of emotion. She noticed he was reserved. His green eyes were no longer surging with negative energy. "Quit staring at me. You're making me nervous." Kevin said. He took the garlic bread out of the oven, and set the table. Breanne sighed and helped him. Both were quiet during dinner. Breanne felt she didn't want to nag Kevin about the Rachel situation. But Kevin was only thinking about how he would plot his revenge. Afterwards, Kevin washed dishes and Breanne went into the living room and decided to play some music. She decided to put in Justin Timberlake, because she's been listening to him all day, and really enjoyed his music. Soon after, Kevin stumbled into the living room and groaned. "Must we play this music." Kevin said in a joking tone. "Hey now! Don't make fun of what I listen to. I mean you listen to your little serenity CDs, and I listen to him." Breanne said as she turned the stereo up and put it on random play. Breanne then started to sing along and began to dance around Kevin. Kevin only stood still and watched his friend act silly. That's the one thing he always loved about Breanne. She had a warm personality that not many women in his life had. She was very trusting and sweet, but she also had a casual side to her. "Let me show you the choreography I have to do. It's real easy." Breanne said getting Kevin's attention. Breanne started to dance, and Kevin casually followed. He seemed to catch on quickly, and the two danced for the rest of the song. Suddenly the track "CRY ME A RIVER" started to play. Breanne looked at Kevin and started to seek any response from him. She knew the song related to what he was going through. She noticed Kevin had a very blank look on his face, and it almost scared her. Kevin only stood there and started to listen to the lyrics. He then started to think that it was too ironic that the song was playing. But then he started to think more about Rachel and how the song was relating to her. She really didn't know all the ways Kevin loved her. Unexpectedly, the phone rang and Breanne ran to the kitchen to answer it. Kevin only stood there even more and brainstormed about how he would get his vengeance. Suddenly an idea came to him, and he had Justin Timberlake to thank. Breanne ran back into the living room, and noticed Kevin had an evil smirk on his face. "What's with the look?" she asked. "Don't worry about it." Kevin replied. He cleared his throat, and decided not to reveal Breanne his total plan until tomorrow morning. "Who was that on the phone?" "It was AJ. He's coming over to help me dye my hair for the music video coming up, and we're going to hang out afterwards. You want to join us?" "I'll think about it." Kevin said, "Wait! I can't! I gotta do some interviews tomorrow to promote my foundation. But I'll be done by nighttime, so maybe the three of us can do something later." Breanne smiled and agreed to make plans for tomorrow night. Kevin then headed for bed, while Breanne listened to music a little more before heading for bed herself. Both of them woke up early at eight o' clock, and had a quick breakfast. Kevin was sitting at the table drinking some coffee, while looking at Breanne ardently. He tried his hardest to figure out how he was going to tell Breanne his full plan. "You're looking at me like one of my breasts is hanging out." Breanne said, right before looking down at my chest. "What's up with you?" Kevin cleared his throat, asked "Looking back, since I started dating Rachel, would you say I've changed?" Breanne hesitated whether or not to be brutally honest with Kevin. Because since he started dating her, he has changed into someone without a backbone. It's like he was totally dependent of Rachel. "You want me to be truthfully honest?" Breanne asked. Kevin assured Breanne he wanted to know the absolute truth. "Well....", she started to say, "You've become spineless, completely whipped, and dependent. You've changed from the strong, stern Kevin that I know. And you've become this hopeless romantic that allowed that woman walk all over you." Kevin sat there dumbfounded. Breanne's harsh words echoed in his mind, because she was telling him the truth. Kevin changed his strong will to please Rachel in every way, but it also showed him as being senseless, sapless, and inadequate. "You're absolutely right. That's why I think the only way to get any real closure on this situation is to get some kind of dignity back." Kevin replied. "How are you going to manage that? Are you going to have her killed? I mean I know people that will do that." Kevin laughed and responded "Nothing like that. But I need her to understand that she really messed up. She messed up a really good thing. And I think I know how I'm going to get her realize it." "That sounds like a good plan. How are you going to make her realize?" "Well, our anniversary is coming up, and I think I'm going to leave her a surprise. You see, she thinks I don't know about her cheating on me. She thinks she's getting off scot-free. But I figure I'll tell her that I know what she's up to." Breanne wondered if Kevin was going to confront Rachel. "I'm going to leave her a little present, telling her I know everything. Maybe a video tape or something. I want to vent out all my emotions without her interrupting me." "That seems pretty simple. But you think that's going to be enough?" "I know it won't be enough. That's why afterwards, I'm going to make her know what it feels like to see the one you love fooling around with someone else." Kevin said. Breanne only sat there, with her eyes big. "And I need you to help me." "Excuse me?" Breanne screamed. She jumped out of her chair, and away from the kitchen table. "You must mean I'm holding the video camera while I watch you fool around with somebody else right?" Breanne asked. She was hoping that's what Kevin wanted, although the thought of seeing him being with someone else broke her heart. And to see him in a sexual situation with someone else would be overwhelming. "No, I want you to be in the video with me! It won't be anything serious. I promise you that. Just please tell me you'll help me." Kevin said. Breanne didn't know what to do. She was shocked Kevin was asking her to be in such a strange situation. She would be on tape with him, possibly having sex with him. She didn't know if she could handle it. "Look, I'll let you think about it, and you give me your answer tonight when we go off with AJ okay? I mean he still is coming over right?" Breanne agreed and jumped in the shower. Kevin went off to work, and left Breanne to her thoughts. Breanne didn't know what to do. She didn't know if she should say no to him. The situation was just too uncomfortable. It's not everyday that she was asked to be in a scandalous videotape with her best friend that she happened to be in love with, but she told herself that she wouldn't put herself in situations like this unless Kevin truly wanted it. But he did ask her to do this. And it would be great to finally teach Rachel a lesson. Breanne felt Rachel did take Kevin for granted, and this would be the perfect opportunity to finally see Rachel be on the receiving end of the pain. After a long shower, Breanne changed and called AJ to come over. She was just a little rattled by Kevin's question, and needed some key advice. AJ came over about an hour later, and greeted Breanne with a big hug. "What's up sexy! You ready to become a redhead?" AJ asked. Breanne was flustered, but she tried to hide it. "Ready as I'll ever be." Breanne replied. They both entered Breanne's bathroom, and AJ gave her the hair dye. "You think I'll look with red hair? I mean I don't want to look incredibly stupid." AJ assured Breanne she would look good with any hair color, but he thought Breanne looked good in anything. "Sometimes I wonder if you being nice to be has to do with the fact you want to get inside my pants." "Although I would like that very much, I know it would never happen again." AJ replied. "But you gotta admit the sex between us was pretty damn amazing." Breanne only laughed and started to mix the ingredients together. "Seriously though, I also say nice things to you, because I mean them. You really are beautiful Breanne." AJ replied and kissed Breanne on the cheek. The two continued to fix the dye, and AJ noticed Breanne being intensely quiet. He also noticed she had a distressed look in her eyes. "Penny for your thoughts?" AJ asked. Breanne didn't respond but continued to concentrate on the dye. "Bre! I'm talking to you." AJ said louder. Breanne snapped out of her trance and glanced at AJ. "What's the deal with you?" "It's a long story." Breanne responded. She then sat down on the toilet, and allowed AJ to start adding the dye to her head. "It's about Kevin." She said softly. "What else is new?" AJ said playfully. "So what's going on now?" "Okay, well he finally caught Rachel cheating on him. And he's staying here for a while to calm down, but he figures the only way to get complete clarity from the situation is to get revenge on her." "That's what I'm talking about. It's good Kevin's being a man about this whole thing, instead of crying about it." AJ stated. "What's he gonna do? He's gonna have her killed huh?" Breanne laughed "I wish, but he would never do anything like that. But their anniversary is coming up, and he wants to leave her a little present." "What kind of present?" "You ever see the music video 'Cry me a river'?" Breanne asked. AJ stood there shocked and tried to absorb Kevin's idea. He just couldn't believe Kevin could be so creative. "But that's not the worst part yet. He wants me to be in the video with him." "No fucking way." AJ said. He only started to laugh because he thought Breanne was joking. But then AJ noticed Breanne was not laughing with him. "Wait, you're being serious." "Why would I lie about something like this?" Breanne asked. "He asked me this morning, and it scared the shit out of me of course. But I haven't given him an answer yet." Breanne then started to cough and noticed the dye was making her scalp burn. She rinsed her hair out, along with AJ's help. "You should do it." AJ said. "You're kidding right?" "No, I'm not. Breanne, you should do this." AJ said. He wanted nothing more than Breanne to end up with Kevin, and he figured a situation like this was a perfect break for her. "I can't do it AJ. Things would be too weird." "Stop being a chickenshit about this. Look Kevin is a good friend right? And you would do anything for him right? Then just swallow your pride, grow a backbone, and do the video. I mean it can't be that bad right?" "What if we actually have sex?" Breanne asked. "I can't have that on tape. That would just be insane." "Taping a sexual experience isn't that bad Bre. It's actually very exciting." AJ responded. "But you know I'm not going to make you decide anything. The choice is up to you, but...if you were smart, like I know you are, then you'll tell Kevin yes." AJ said. He then looked at Breanne's hair, and smiled. "By the way, red looks really good on you." Breanne gasped as she looked in the mirror, and laughed "Yeah, I do look pretty decent." |
