A little about me

I am, as you may have guessed, a pagan/witchy type. I used to call myself a Wiccan, but stopped doing that as I leaned more toward polytheism. It is hard for me to accept that the gods, in all their diversity, can be shoehorned into just one or two personalities.

The "BeanSidhe path", which is what I call my own Celtic-based eclectic witchcraft, is a self-created path that honors the Ancient Ones. I strive to make a connection with "Faery", the Otherworld, and so often I do trance journeys to find out the "real story" behind the "official" mythology. This is why some of my deity information diverges from what you might find in a book--because I draw from both written sources and my own experiences. My Celtic patrons are Brigid, Melusine, and Raimond; I am also well-acquainted with Blodeuwedd though she and I have to some extent moved away from one another. (I believe she appeared in my life to help me through a particular situation in my love life. When it was resolved, she began to appear less often.) I belong to a cyber coven of like-minded witches, and our circle patrons are Fand and Manann. Though it is fashionable to snicker at the idea of a cyber coven, it is with these women that I feel I have truly come home. No other coveners, even if they were more geographically convenient, could ever take the place of my sisters. And since we all are well-versed in trance work, we can meet in the space between the worlds even when we cannot meet in the physical sense.

In addition to my Celtic ways, I am also a priestess of Demeter and Persephone. One of these days, I will make a beautiful web page for them as well, despite the overall Celtic theme of my web site.

Here is a story I wrote based on the traditional ballad "The Cruel Sister"--in case you're interested. And here is some pagan-themed poetry I've written; all of this is old so I'm unsure of its quality. I'll try to update this page soon.
