| Your Teacher is Mrs. Keiko Miya | |||||||||||||||||||||
| I was born in Japan and lived there until I was seven years old. At seven years of age I was brought to New York City where I grew up and graduated from Barnard College . After getting married in 1983, I started on my Elementary Teaching Credential at California State University in Los Angeles and began teaching at that level from 1985. In 1996 I received my Secondary Teaching Credential and began teaching at Roosevelt High School, Los Angeles the same year. This is my tenth year of teaching Japanese at the high school level, which I really enjoy. My husband and I both love to read, to travel and to watch our teen-age son grow up. | |||||||||||||||||||||
