| These CLEANING TIPS I gathered from the CleanTeam web page. I hope that they help you out. I just found them myself and haven't tried them out myself yet. |
| 1. MAKE EVERY MOVE COUNT- Work around the room once. To do this you need to keep your cleaning supplies with you. Work form left to right, (or from right to left) from top to bottom, from back of an object to front--all with out back tracking. I guess this doesn't include vaccuming. |
| 2.STAY IN ONE ROOM UNTIL IT IS DONE!! (this is my tip) DO NOT LEAVE THE ROOM, if things need to go into another room, place them in a basket or something to take out with you when you are done in the room. Keep a trash bag with you, to throw any trash in, thus keeping you in the room. Use the bag often. |
| 3. WORK FROM TOP TO BOTTOM--Dirt follows the laws of gravity. Thus by working from top to bottom you won't be recleaning surfaces soiled from dirt from above. |
| 4. IF IT ISN'T DIRTY, DON'T CLEAN IT--Think about it, how often do you spray and wipe an entire cabinet front or fridge door when all that needs cleaning are the fingerprints and smudges around the handle? Vertical surfaces get less dirty than horizontal ones. You'll want to clean the entire surface periodically, but it doesn't need to be done every cleaning. |
| 5. PAY ATTENTION--This is the hard part for us! You can get the room done faster if you try to stay focused. If need be, take a break after each room, or just do a room or two a day. (this is a combo tip, the heading is theirs, the rest is mine) |
| 6. USE BOTH HANDS--Finish one step with one hand, then begin the next with the other hand. |
| 7. IF THERE ARE MORE THAN ONE OF YOU, WORK AS A TEAM--Otherwise, enlist the family to help you. |

| Here are a bunch of Helpful Hints from Claudia: |
| 1--Instead of throwing away a sponge that has a stale odor, simply toss it in the dishwasher (or wash machine) and wash it with the next load of dishes (or cloths). It will come out clean and fresh smelling and will kill any bacteria in the sponge, so it's a good idea to toss you sponges into the dishwasher (or washing machine) often. |
| 2--Keep a bottle of vinegar within easy reach. When your stove, counter tops, walls or anything else becomes spattered with grease, spray and wipe with clean dry rag. Vinegar cuts the grease, leaves a nice shine, and also kills germs. |
| 3--Instead of buying expensive lime removers for the toilet and other bathroom fixtures, try hydrogen peroxide first, it can do the job for a fraction of the price. |
