The view from Tez's flat in lovely Ilford. A train station sort of makes a big half circle around the 'burb. UK trains are actually very quiet. They're electric and average 90mph so all you hear is an occasional WOOSH!
Ilford Train Station
Here's suburban London in all its dirty, oppressive glory. I walked to this station every morning and used the trains to get to Stratford or Liverpool Street Stations. From there you can catch the Central Line of the Underground straight in. There's a lot of WOOSHING and then you're there.
Catacombs
The first time you ride the Tube, you're slightly terrified because it's crowded and confusing as hell. The second time, you're thrilled to be traveling car-free and footloose. The third time, you get a face full of carbon dust, you get "carried" by two-hundred people up an escalator and you have to leap over a small lake of urine. Then, you hate it.
Cute Guy
But sometimes there's cute guys! And they're on the escalator in front of you and so you get to stare at their butts all the way up.
Westminster or Embankment?
I forget which one but this is one of the brand new subway stations. Tez and I thought it was pretty cool. Note the absence of pools of urine. It's located under a big government complex, not Parliment but real close.
