London is like a rabbit warren and the street signs (located 20 feet up on the sides of buildings when there are signs) are useless. All I remember is it was the last week, it was misting slightly, I'd done my usual 10-15 mile walk that day and had just come out of a little cafe where they didn't charge me extra to sit inside. I think I was about eight blocks north of the Thames ...
I had to stomp all the way up here to get my early return ticket -- twice. Note the Ali G ad on the back of the bus and the guy with the mullet in front of me. You couldn't afford a pair of socks on Oxford Street.
This is famous Soho, where the gals from AbFab always went to shop. Silly stores with 2,000-quid shoes and hole-in-the-wall restaurants with snotty waiters. The Equity -- the union for actors like Ben Kingsley and Kate Winslet -- is down here. So is the infamous strip club where all the famous soccer stars go. Note the lovely trash piled up a meter high in places.
