The Weres
There's a series of sort of steps built into the River Avon where it runs through the town. They were virtually obscured by the water because there had been flooding in the counties to the north. I was told people wade and go swimming along the weres in the summer. This might be Pulteney Bridge.
Inside the Abbey
Just some nice stained glass inside the Bath Abbey. They didn't charge us to walk through here unlike certain Roman bath museums that wanted to scalp us!
Graffiti
Despite the ancient architecture, really rich populace, etc. they've still got some voices of dissent. Though, I suspect this one was probably just some Toff from one of the two colleges who just got jilted by his girlfriend.
The Road to Dorset
Robin and I went to Dorset County by ourselves a few days after Bath. He drove, I cringed. The tour buses went by us with centimeters to spare. This was what passed for a motorway or freeway. Damn it was gorgeous! I could die happy in Dorset. It's a bit more upscale than Somerset, not that I'm knocking Somerset.
Timber!
I became obsessed with this. I made Robin stop. There was no sidewalk, no gutter, nothing. Just me, my pain-in-the-ass 35mm camera and the oncoming traffic. I had to climb over a hedge/fence for this. Just imagine, at one time Europe was covered in hardwood forest.
Frozen Dorset County
This was the other side of the motorway. Off in the distance was what looked like a little sort of castle tower. Robin said some sheep farmer was probably using it as a storage shed. That white stuff is frost.
