The biggest penis in England! Robin and I drove all the way to Dorset County to see the Cerne Giant. Reading the placards around the car park, we discovered there's all this controversy ... ahem ... surrounding the giant. It's open to debate whether the ancient Romans -- or maybe the even more ancient Celts or Oliver Cromwell's people (1600s) -- made this chalk figure. Sorry about the crappy photog.
Again this photo is crap and doesn't do justice to the beauty of the place -- or the extremely STEEP incline. That's Robin in the foreground clinging to the fence as we were trying to recover from climbing up on our hands and knees with our cameras in our teeth. Oh, and when you're standing/clinging this close to a chalk figure you can't actually SEE it but it's just the other side of the barbedwire fence.
Ankle deep and slicker than goose shit (as Dad used to say). All the snow and sleet England had been visited with decided to thaw out that day. The good news, by the time we reached the car the sun was sinking and the temperature dropped, re-freezing everything.
