The Band

Round-up of 2002:

The Necrophiliac:

On the 20th April 2002, we returned to the studio to record "The Necrophiliac (Necrophilia-a-go-go), the song was the last one that we wrote with Brian. Russ Miller recorded, mixed and mastered in his studios the Tudor House. This song along with 3 others record with John Kettle the previous year formed the basis of our new e.p:

Are you sitting comfortably?

On the 3rd of June we released the follow up CD to Hey Up Your Ass; entitled 'Are You Sitting Comfortably?' It consisted of 4 tracks The Necrophiliac (recorded with Russ Miller at the Tudor House) and Robbie Williams is a £@$!, Lies and Rearview (Recorded with John Kettle at the Jiraff House on the 11 & 12 August 2001.)

Mesnes Power 2, Wigan, 17/8/02:

Having had all our cars broke into at our practice room the night before the gig, was not the best of starts to our first time playing at the Mesnes Power 2 youth festival, in Mesnes Park, Wigan but we managed to get through it.

We played our cover of George Formby's - When I'm cleaning windows for the first time at this gig, surprisingly it went down well. The council representatives didn’t take to kindly to us playing the Necrophiliac and help though, and threatened to pull the plug on the event if anyone else swore on stage!

Kermitz In Kerrang!

On the 21st of September, 2002 Kermitz appeared in Kerrang! courtesy of Anthony 'The Worm' Rigby of Moco fame, who wore a kermitz T-shirt for a photo shoot they Moco did with Kerrang. Rigby has proved himself a king amongst men and for his heroic efforts to the Kermitz cause has been recommended for a knighthood in the new years honours list. Check Out the Moco website Here

The Cavern Club, Liverpool, 7/12/02:

We rounded up the year with probably our best gig to date at the legendary cavern club, in Liverpool playing a set mad up covers including:-

War, When I'm cleaning windows, I'm a believer, Holidays in the sun, California sun, and Help! And at the end of the set we played Stacatto Pigme, Diagnosis Murder and The Necrophiliac as an encore.

Taken From My Trailer:

We have just written a new song (our first without Brian) entitled "Taken From My Trailer" based on a song that Neil wrote way back in nineteen dickety seven called "I was taken". The song is an ole fashioned country hoe down, dealing with the traumatising experience of Alien Abduction.
