| Now that you are almost finished with the book, it is time to watch an interview in which Chris Abani's explans the literary world that he has created. In this interview Abani explains some of the characters and discusses some of the political and cultural characteristics of Elvis' society in Lagos Nigeria. At this point in the book you have been exposed to many disturbing violent and sexual scenes. Hopefully, this interview will help you to understand why it was necessary for Abani to include these scenes in the novel.
