KERETHIAL was formed in the summer of 2001, under Lord Xezbeth and Thorn who had met each other while on the internet. Since both sought an outlet, from which to express experimental musical creativity in the underground Black Metal scene, they collaberated. From their collaberation, KERETHIAL was born, with the intent to play raw, thrashing, and powerful, yet epic and melodic Black Fucking Metal. Due to the fact that Lord Xezbeth lived in AZ and Thorn lived in CA, the music had to be done completely from their computers, and entirley through e-mail and postal mail. However, this posed no threat, and KERETHIAL was underway. The first demo was completed not long after, and was self titled. Lord Xezbeth uploaded their first completed track, onto MP3.com, and from that they heard many good reviews. After that, KERETHIAL saw many delays, due to computer failure, and lack of time on Thorn's behalf, to work on drum programming tracks, and synth tracks. After many long delays, KERETHIAL arose once again. Now, in spring of 2002, Lord Xezbeth and Thorn are once again working on music, for their next demo release. In Summer 2002 Lord Xezbeth recruited Mortlock on bass. And have begun writing for a 7" that should be out by the end of the year.
