The Samajam has been registered as "KERALA SAMAJAM, RIYADH" on March 12, 2000. The official Inauguration was carried out on May 04, 2000. The Samajam will be conducting plenty of cultural events this year on dates coinciding with the various festivals in Kerala.

The first "General Body Meeting" of the Samajam was held on April 14, 2000. It was a great success. The meeting helped all members to get to know each other and gave a boost to the Samajam's operations . Various arts and sports competitions were held during that day and the ladies had the opportunity to witness a wonderful "Food Carving Demonstration".

The Inauguration of the Samajam was carried out on May 4, 2000 at the Indian Embassy Auditorium in Riyadh by Prof. Mathew lighting the "Nilavilakku" in the traditional way. Variety entertainment programs were conducted on that day. All the members participated very actively and it was well appreciated by all the guests and the press who attended the function.
