Fan's account of Ken's TW fan meet
Some interesting parts of the fan meet:
During the banquet, Ken just left his phone and sunglasses on the table.
While he stepped away, he had no worries that someone might take his
stuff or take a peek on his personal data. Perhaps, that is what we call
trust. On the other hand, they noticed that Ken wore a very special
watch. Wyfeve mentioned that she furtively picked up Ken's hand and
looked at the watch. It is so cool. Too bad it was too rush to find out
the brand name. She only noticed that the watch is covered in a thick
glass with a green devil pattern. The devil shows a big mouth with its
tongue stick out. Although she did not know what is the brand, it looks
like an expensive piece.
Talking about his phone and sunglasses, the ladies found that the
glasses are a Gucci made. As to his phone, that is a silver Nokia N82
(see photo). It appears had been used for a while. The next item that
caught their attention was Ken's bag. That seems like a BV (Bottega
Veneta) knit bag with a dark brown elegant look. Thanks to thoughtful
Sophie, she got these items (see photo of Ken's bag).
In this meeting, the ladies get a chance to take photos with Ken,
individual pictures for each participant and a group picture. They all
brought along with their cameras but none of them took any photos prior
to his consent. No one thought of he will do autographs. When he asked,
¡§Do you have anything for me to sign?¡¨ all of them are surprised.
Finally, they asked him to autograph on their membership card. He even
endorsed their names before signing. He tried to write their names
correctly. So he will write the words on napkin first. How thoughtful he
was! Of course, he can¡¦t get all their names right as some of his fans
have very weird, unusual names. For example, when Papaya asked him to
endorse for her, he asked, What's the name?
Papaya said.
no response.
Gua ~ you know. Xi Gua¡¨, Papaya reminded him again.
no response again.
Finally, he wrote out the word on the napkin. Then, Papaya asked him to
add follow the word. He totally got lost. So Papaya wrote it to show
him.
Why? What is that mean? ssked Ken.
Nothing just means to drag long on the pronunciation, replied Papaya.
Hahaha he must be wondering why his fans are so extraordinary. Even use
a symbol on one's name!
One more interesting thing, Ken seems have a new tag, Please find it out
on Yahoo lifestyle / knowledge. Many time, when he was asked a question,
he kept saying, ¡Please find it out on Yahoo lifestyle / knowledge.

Dear all, I tried to include all the funny stories from the participants

Ken fan Wyfeve's sharing (TW fan meet 21 June 2008)
Wyfeve' sharing
After 7 years, Ken arranged another unofficial face-to-face meeting with
his fans again. I imagined thousands of times how it will be like but
the outcome always out of my expectation. Ha!
June 21, 2008, I arrived Howard Hotel at 2pm. When I was doing my
payment and registration, I saw a familiar figure walked straightly
towards us. Looks like he¡¦s coming to say hi and let us know that he
arrived. I was busy at that time. By the time I finished my business, he
had already passed through us going to the upper floor. Shortly
afterwards, he came back and went into a shop, about 1 meter away from
us. As he browsed around the shop, he kept peeking at us. I wonder if he
want to find out who had come. For all these time, he was on the phone.
I doubt whether he was really talking on the phone or just to show off
his typical ¡§Tian Manner¡¨. Hoho
We were received at 2:30pm. When we enter the reserve dinning room, we
all hesitated to get into the seats. There were 2 long tables side by
side. Staff came and suggested to arrange the seats for us. Since I am
the last one came into the room, the closest table was nearly occupied.
So I took my brother to sit at the next table. Just when I thought we
were settled, staff came and told us that Ken will sit at this table. So
they need 4 more seats. Then I was in trouble. I couldn¡¦t leave my shy
brother alone as he was not familiar with any one. Hence, I requested my
other friend to sit at the other table. Finally, we settled down and
went to pick up our food. When we were about to go, staff came again.
They decided to sit at the other table so we all could stay together on
the same table. Thanks a lot for their help.
I don't like to crowd with others so waited a bit before I went out to
get my food. By the time I came back, I realized that Ken sit right
opposite to me. God! Though I am not afraid of him, it was kind of
nervous having meal with a handsome man face to face. I pretended that
he is invisible. I tried to concentrate on my dishes and chat with my
friends. After all we haven't seen each other for a long time.
I am not in a bad mood. Just did not get a good sleep for these few
days. I am busy working on some music lately, so a bit exhausted. Ken
started to talk in between our chats. Others wonder if he was in a low
spirit in whispers because he appeared with a poker face ever since he
arrived. I have got used to this for long. So I think someone sit near
to him asked. I did not hear the question but I felt relieved after his
explanation. Then we continued with our meal.
In between, two interesting incidents happened and I am the one
involved. Heee
jIt began with our talk about the Tokyo trip when we went for Getting
Real Concert. Last time when we went to Tsukiji, one of my friends did
not dare to eat raw fish but she was able to eat smoke salmon. Another
friend asked, how come you could eat smoke salmon but dare not to taste
raw fish? My friend replied, I presume smoke salmon should be cooked,
isn¡¦t it? Well¡KI thought I should not leave him aside for too long so
decided to ask him with this question.
Mr. Chu, I worded out in a rush while others broke into laughers.
Oh how come you call him Mr. Chu?, someone asked.
Ummm I just get used to¡K., I embarrassedly answered.
Looking on his face, I asked again, Is smoke salmon cooked?
Smoky salmon was smoked with charcoal at low heat¡¨, he gave an official
explanation at a very nice tone.
So the salmon is semi-cooked. Otherwise, it will turn white if it is
fully cooked.¡¨
Ken nodded to agree with my answer.
Another incident happened a few minutes later. Yes¡Kthat was me who
started m
Since I no longer pretended him as invisible, I decided to begin some
chats, else it will be so weird to keep quiet.
¡§Xiao¡K.Tian¡K.¡¨, the words softly¡Kstrangely sneak out of my
lips¡Kand here came the laughts again.
Come on I can't help, they don't let me call you Mr. Chu,I said
embarrassedly again.
Just call me Xiao Tian will be fine, Ken softly said without looking up.
(Then I forgot what I want to ask)
Well it is so funny about the others reaction as I speak out of the 3
words.
What can I do? In the past, when we talked about Ken in public, we
always use Mr. Chu. Because we were afraid that others would find out
who were we talking about. As time passes, we all get used to it. Now,
it is not easy for me to change and call him Xiao Tian right the way.
After half an hour, we almost finished. Ken asked the assistants to take
away the plates. He stood up and began with the discussion for this
meeting

Sharing the fun from 621 TW Fan meeting
It is almost time. Friendly staffs lead us to the elevator and took us
to the dinning room on the 4th floor. (Ken did not ride with us.) We got
into the reserved dinning room, get settled in our seats. Later, the
staffs came and told us that they planned to have Ken sit on this table.
Together with 3 other staffs, they need 2 more seats. That means two
persons have to go to the other table. It took some time for the
arrangement. Since I did not have lunch yet and was starving, I want to
get set and run for some food. So I voluntarily move to sit with swallow
on the other table. I left my bag on my seat, the most distant seat away
from Ken, and I rush to grab food. (Hahaha sorry..I love eating and
can't stand hunger) Well food for the tea time at Howard are just so
so¡Knot much variety. When I was busy picking up food, I met swallow.
She told me that staff had changed my seat again. I did not care too
much about it. As I finished and went back to find my seat, I saw my bag
laid on a seat and can't help cried out, ¡§How come my seat is here!!¡¨
Right next to me, I find Ken's sunglasses and cellphone laying on the
table of that seat!!! Oh! Good gracious!!June 21 at 11am. I started off
from Taizhong and arrived Taipei around 2pm. Completed my registration
and got paid, I stayed close by the reception desk with some other fans
chatting while waiting for admission at 2:30pm. A while later, Ken,
wearing a big sunglasses on his bearded face, strolled in. Just like we
all have a tacit understanding, none of us had any reaction, except
reminding each other in whispers, Hey here he comes!¡¨ Then we noticed
he leisurely walked away from us. As he disappeared from our views, we
started talking again. Suddenly, he showed up on the other side of us.
We teased, ¡§Gosh! He peeked and guarded on us again.¡(Hahaha¡ Kjust
kidding. Actually, we all understood. He'd just like us, couldn't get
into the restaurant right the way so have to browse around.
At that time, there was only one fans sit across from me. The others
were out picking up their food. I said I couldn¡¦t sit here. It's too
close to Ken. (Well that is for his favour. I'm afraid my short temper
cann¡¦t hold me from fixing and bullying him heheheee)
I believe many would be willing the change seat with me. As I keep on
muttering, Ken came back. I quickly shut up and therefore unable to
change my seat with the others.
Afterwards, Ken spook, Let's eat first and talk later. He had something
to discuss with us. He appears to be quite serious so I can¡¦t help to
tell him, ¡§Hey..relax, you¡¦re too serious.¡¨ He said he was
considering how to present it to us.
I tried not to disturb him while eating (because our seats were tightly
close). I have to turn my face to the other side and did not speak to
him at all. Later on, he stepped out of the room. As he left, we brisk
up again. I even chat with Ken¡¦s assistant who sit opposite to me. Some
brave heart teased with his assistant saying that Ken got an amuck
murderous look. Shortly, Ken returned. His assistant immediately told
him, They said you have an amuck murderous face!(Oh mann)
Ken paused then replied, Oh that is because I did not sleep well last
night!
At that time, my bad instinct triggered. I said, ¡§Oh¡K.then you must
haven¡¦t sleep well for a very long time. (Dear all, please forgive me I
just can't help to bully him.)
After we finished, he began explaining and discussing the issues about
I.Ken with us.!
Since he will meet other fans in July and go with the same discussion, I
don¡¦t want to get into details right now. Let¡¦s wait for then for
further discussions after his Japan trip.
Since we are not getting into those serious topics, let me sharing the
funny parts. As Ken opened for questions, Miss Y asked him, ¡§Ken, can
you recommend a good Osteopath for me, please?(When I learned about the
question, I almost fell off my seat.)
Looking back at Dr. Chu, he seriously replied her, Just a minute¡Klet me
give you his contact started looking for the phone number on his
cellphone for her. Before he read out the number, he even asked, Are you
ready to take it down? Then he read out the numbers slowly for her to
write it down. He thoughtfully reminded her to tell the doctor that it
is Chu Xiao Tian's referral but the fees are a bit high, NT$2000 per
visit.
Meanwhile, Miss Y asked, ¡§Will I can a discount if I quote your name?
No no discount from him.
(Listening to their conversation, I really want to laugh out but I held
back. Don¡¦t you find they are tooo funny?)

MANILA, Philippines—Two Asian actors are on board for filmmaker Adolf
Alix’s new project.
Taiwanese superstar Ken Chu, who starred in Alix’s film “Batanes,” has
agreed to co-produce the director’s next movie, which is about the
plight of Filipino soldiers assigned in the Spratly Islands.
“We were in Batanes when I talked to Ken about the concept. He got back
to me recently and said he has convinced other Chinese producers to
invest in the new film,” Alix told Inquirer Entertainment on Tuesday.
The film, titled “Kalayaan,” will star Lao-Australian actor Ananda
Everingham in the lead role. He appeared in the 2004 horror film,
“Shutter.”
“Kalayaan” also features Filipino actors Joem Bascon and Arnold Reyes.
“We are currently in the process of securing permits. We hope to start
filming soon,” said Alix.

Indie film "Kalayaan" focuses on lonely soldiers in Spratlys
Three years ago, Adolf Alix Jr. was already conceptualizing a film that
would be shot in the Spratly Islands (also known as the Kalayaan group
of islands). This group of islands located off the southern coast of
Palawan is being claimed by China, Taiwan, Vietnam, Malaysia and the
Philippines.
The award-winning director is now in the process of securing permits to
shoot on the island of Pag-asa, one of the islets in the
Philippine-occupied area of the Kalayaan group of islands.
Adolf tells PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) the plot of his
upcoming movie Kalayaan. "Tungkol siya sa buhay ng mga military... on
their lonely life kasi three months silang nagii-stay dun. Kuwento siya
ng isang soldier na supposed to be paalis na ng island pero nag-stay dun
dahil na-extend yung duty niya. So, kuwento siya ng loneliness." trans:
It's about the life of the military, they are lonely in their three
months of duty in the island, this is a story of one soldier who was
supposed to be go off duty but his stay was extended. So this is a story
about loneliness.
Why did he choose Lao-Australian actor Ananda Everingham to be the lead
character in his film? "Nameet ko si Ananda sa Bangkok Film Fest.
Naghahanap siya ng puwedeng gawin outside [his country]. So noong
nag-usap kami, sabi ko bagay sa kanya yung role kasi mukha naman siyang
Filipino. So mag-aaral siyang mag-Tagalog." trans: I met Ananda at the
Bangkok Film Fest. He was looking for a project that he could do outside
of his country. That's why when we talked I told him that the role suits
him cause he looks like a Filipino. So that's why he is going to study
Tagalog.
Working primarily in Thai films, Ananda is best known for his lead role
in the 2004 horror film, Shutter (Thai version).
Star Magic talent Joem Bascon and theater actor Arnold Reyes will also
be part of Kalayaan, Adolf's eighth directorial project.
In other news, Adolf will be attending the 10th Festival de Cinema
Asiatic de Barcelona where Tambolista (international title: Drumbeat) is
competing later this month. The 2007 Cinema One entry starring Jiro
Manio, Sid Lucero, and Coco Martin tells the story of a young boy who
dreams of getting his own drum set.
Aside from Tambolista, other Filipino films that will participate in the
Barcelona Asian Film Festival include Foster Child, Tribu, and Pisay.

Zhu Xiaotian Said He Already Won Being Nominated As Best Supporting
Actor For Hundred Flowers Award
The most artistic among F4, Zhu Xiaotian is nominated as Best Supporting
Actor for "Tokyo Trial" at the Golden Rooster Hundred Flowers Award. Zhu
Xiao Tian on the phone line in Taipei said modestly to the reporters,
"being in competition with veteran actors with hard background and who
are already mentors like Bao Guo Chen, Zheng Xu, and together with
talented Jay Chou, I think I already won being included with them. "
Zhu Xiao Tian Plays Xiao Nan In Tokyo Trial
With idol drama "Meteor Garden",Zhu Xiaotian in Taiwan has gained alot
of followings and the youthful drama has started his introduction to
mainland market. "Tokyo Trial" is an excellent opportunity to this
talented young man to make it from where he has began. "Film and TV
dramas are really very different, when meeting the crew, I am very
worried and pressured that I would mishandle the main theme of the film,
and performing with Liu Songren , Eric tsang, Kenneth Tsang who are my
mentors, taught me a lot. I suddenly understand that being with the old
actors is all about acting, no matter what type of roles they play, they
are so natural at it, no matter how hard it can be. "
Zhu Xiaotian was recently in the United States , won Shuaichao and
Taijiquan championships, reporters asked him if he would be diverting
his focus in life. Zhu Xiaotian claimed that martial arts is at present
the love of his life, but he still would not give up showbusiness, it
seems that he has adjusted to the idea that life and career can be very
complementary.
He told reporters he loves making movies very much, actually there are
alot of scripts at hand, but because of the film "Tokyo Trial", he is
very careful in making film choices. In September, F4 will have a
reunion concert, Zhu Xiao Tian will then be very busy. But we all look
forward to seeing him soon, whether in music or films.

Ken conquered 2 championships from the States
Chu Xiao Tian conquered two gold medals again in US competition
Fistic martial arts is much more enjoyable than being F4
Chu Xiao Tian has been learning Kung Fu for 3 years and rewarded with
promising results. After winning Tai Chi Champion in Spain last year, he
conquered the Championships in Tai Chi and Shuai Chiao again in a US
competition couple days ago. Yesterday, calling oversea from the States,
he expressed that even there is no prize or reward, he feels much
happier than being F4. In fact, Kung Fu is what he truly earnest to
advocate as his foremost life-time mission.
Yesterday, according to Chu Xiao Tian who is in US, he represents for
the Chinese Kung Fu and Wrestling Association to take part in the 17th
Annual Great Lakes Kung Fu Championships Competition held at Cleveland,
Ohio, USA on April 19th. There were 40 participants, including
westerners and Chinese. They were divided into different groups in
respect to each specialty. The match proceeded 6 candidates in a group.
He won two gold medals in Tai Chi and Shuai Chiao overtaking numerous
professional competitors. He whooped gaily, "So happy! Here, no more F4
glory, no more stress as celebrity. During the competition, no one sees
me as a star, nor any one will scornfully said artists are no big deal."
Practice cures Asthma
Last October, he took part in the 7th Chang Dong Sheng World Cup Tai Chi
and Wrestling Tournament and won the Tai Chi Championship. This year, he
will join the competitions in Taiyuan, Shanxi coming June and taking the
challenges again in Spain coming August. In between being F4 and
participating in Kung Fu competitions, which of them gives him a better
sense of accomplishment? He said, "Being F4 is merely an instant
pleasance. When cheers faded away, you are left with emptiness. Whereas,
Kung Fu last for a life time. I intend to provoke it in future." Other
than Martial Arts, Cooking is also his other talent. He straightly
admitted, "These two are my life time favourites."
In the past, he suffered from overweight and water retention due to
stress. He even teased that most of his organs are damaged. Now, he
regained health by practicing Kung Fu. It even improves his Asthma
problem. He, 180cm tall, reduced weight to 77kg. Being a Kung Fu expert,
does it implied that F4 no longer need body guards? He chuckled,
"Speaking of a normal size man (that is 170cm tall and weight 70kg), I
can manage 2 to 3 without any problem. However, Kung Fu learners do not
voluntarily take the moves because that may cause too much harm."
Fans worried that he would give up as F4 because of Kung Fu. He replied,
"As long as the audience desire, F4 will always be there." Being F4, it
earns money. Nevertheless, invest time in joining various competitions
are rewardless. He smiley said, "I have no worries! It shouldn't be a
problem even I have to rely on Kung Fu to make a living."
