Vision

KYF’s vision is to mobilize youth from all walks of life to play their role in policy and development process by engaging in self sustaining socio economic activities with the focus of making the world a better place to live in.

Mission

KYF is to enhance and strengthen  effective participation of young people through facilitation and capacity building in social and economic development initiatives through their own generated ideas, proposals, resources and analysis.

Goals/Objectives

The Goal of KYF is to ensure that young people be actively engaged in development and live in economically and socially sustaining ,safe and healthy environment.

KYF aims:

1.      To enhance consultations and dialogue with key stakeholders on promotion of youth involvement in policy and development initiatives.

2.      To build the capacity of the youth on broader as well as specific policy and development initiatives.

3.      To advocate and lobby for review of conventional laws, policies and development agenda that are a hindrance to youth participation.

4.      To mobilize resources to facilitate youth engagement in wealth creation for development.

5.      To build networks, linkages and synergy with other youth organizations, Non-Governmental Organizations/Community Service Oorganizations from local, national, regional and international levels to share experiences, resources and programs for enhanced youth participation in development.

Strategies

·         Support both informal and formal learning of the youth

·         Facilitate youth participation in policy and development issues

·         Influence policies, laws and practices of development actors to be supportive of the youth

·         Engender institutional development and growth to adequately serve the organizational mandate
