About 'Memories of a Geisha '. Will Ken accept the offer?

A Chinese newspaper recently published information that Chow Yun Fat declined the offer to star in Rob Marshall's "Memoirs of a Geisha". Now the role is being offered to Japanese actor Ken Watanabe.
More about this movie:
Due to the tight schedule of Steven Spielberg , this movie will still be produced by Spielberg, but directed by Rob Marshall.
The director ow expected to start filming in Japan in September 2004, Sony is aiming for a release in the fall of 2005.
