Ken Watanabe (44)��s divorce case has been scheduled for 3rd hearing at Tokyo on 13 May 2004. Ken��s wife, Yumiko, showed up in court. She claimed that Ken had affairs with a number of actresses, and also with a woman who is a daughter of the head of a TV station.
At the first hearing, Yumiko, via her lawyer, claimed that Ken had affairs with 5 actresses. Yumiko is being asked if it is her suspicion only (not really happened)? She said, ��I saw him connected with other woman and some contraception stuff (I think she means condom).�� She further said that, ��six years ago, he told me he wanted to get married to other woman. It was a big attack to me!��
Regarding the loan around 450 million of Japanese Yen (36 million of HK dollars, or 9 million of US dollars), Yumiko explained that, ��because Ken is having scandal with other actresses, that is bad and will made his workload decrease a lot and thus affecting his income. He instructed me to borrow money. He tried to use violence to made me follow me. I can do nothing but follow his instruction.��
When the judge asked her how such a huge sum of money being spent, she could not explicitly explain. She only said that the savings passbook is kept at Ken, she could not remember it clearly.Ken��s loan amounts to 180 million of Japanese yen (12 million of HK dollars, or 1.5 million of US dollars) is still outstanding.
