Just eight miles east of Kenton,
a 1935 excavation uncoverd 3,600 specimens and 3,000 fossilized materal.

One of the specimes discovered was a femur bone of a Brontosaurus.
Just under six feet in length, it weighs 425 pounds.

The discovery was made by J.R. Collins of Kenton,
when the blade of his grader uncovered a peice of bone.

If you are interested in dinosaurs, be sure to check out the
tracks at either Clayton Lake, New Mexico or the Dinosaur Tracks
just north of the "Black Mesa Hiking Trail".
