Camp Billy joe Inc., a christian youth camp, was named for Billy Joe Labrier, son of Kathleen and Shirley Labrier, and is for the use of all christian religions. Billy Joe, grandson of H.C. Labrier,
died of "Bright's Disease" at the age of 13 ,in 1954.

The camp was begun in 1970 . Money for its construction was donated by people from this five-state area, and continues to operate on donations.

Many groups of various denominations visit the camp during summers. It is open from Easter until Late October, and is usually booked solid on week-ends and many week-days, for retreats, camps and occasionally for a family reunion, a wedding or a funeral.
The camp consists of 120 acres, owned by the corporation and controlled by a board of five area citizens.
The main building is 40 by 100 feet and houses a large, modern kitchen, dining and meeting area with a big stone fireplace, and
men's and woman's showers and rest rooms. There are several dorms with bunk beds, and an infirmary with separate rest rooms.
Hiking and climbing are the favorite activities.
The camp provides a wholesome meeting place for christian groups.
