The stop in Subic Bay was also our chance for liberty call. In the wild west town of Olongapo. This shot was taken by the house photographer in a second-floor bar. That's me, the old guy on the left. I must confess I had forgotten the names of the others on the FO team with the exception of LCpl Eshelman, second from the right, and
Pfc Green. Green is not in the photo - I don't recall why he didn't join us that night. I had the good luck around Thanksgiving of 2000, however, to receive an e-mail from Donald Eshelman. So not only could I move former LCpl Eshelman into the "found" category, but he reminded me of the names of the others. Second from the left in the photo is Gould (first name?) and on the far right, James Wright.
I can still smell the odor of stale beer. Someone write me and tell me the name of the beer that we are drinking here.
