Subic Bay
We were part of a floating task force that was intended to be able to strike on short notice. From Qui Nhon, we sailed back to Subic Bay. In Subic, we trained and readied ourselves for the next mission. And we held a ceremony for the Marine who had died "administratively" in Qui Nhon.
In memory of LCpl Robert Guy Brown, KIA on Operation Texas on March 21, 1966. LCpl Brown had been the acting artillery FO for Echo Company, 2d Battalion, 4th Marines. He had just turned 19. Semper Fi.
