Columnaris
Mouth,Fins,Body, infection is Whitish/grey
Antibac, Tetracycline. as per manufacture instructions
White Spot Parasite
White spots seen on Fins Then Body.  Spots are pure white and circular with no bumps.
       
Raise the Temp. 1 or 2 deg. Then use either White Spot Cure  or  Anti-Para.
Anchor Worm
Stiff rod like parasite 5 - 10mm long attached to fish
Para-Ex, Clout, Anti-parasite
Fish Lice
Round to oval, flat parasite 10mm long Transparent/Grey green colour  has 8 legs attaches to fish
Para-Ex, Clout, Anti-parasite tabs.
Fungus infection
Tufts of fungus looks like dirty cotton wool ,  on fish body and fins
Fungius Remedy, Methylene Blue,
in water or paint infected area.
Velvet Disease
External Parasite
Dull Gold appearance, Fish listless,clamped fins and scrapes
Salt 30gm per 10 liters water and add Fungus Remedy
Slimy Skin Disease
Slimy white skin, clamped fins, scrapes, with increased breathing
30gm Salt Per 10 liters water with fungus remedy,   or a Good anti Bacterial cure.
Change 1/3rd water after 3 days ,  If fish are not cured use 1/2 medication again,  change 1/3rd water after 3 days  Then again after 3 days to rid the tank of Chemicals
                                                     Treatment Rules >
(1) Do not medicate aquarium untill you have elimated the enviromental  factors as possible cause of the infection,
(2)  Early action is an important factor in determining the success of any treatment. Once a disease is diagnosed, do not waste time before treatment.
(3)  Follow manufacturers instructions carefully on all remidies Many medications are toxic when overdosed,
(4)  A partial water change before treatment dilutes water born pathogens, improves water quality and makes the fish feel better.
(5)  Remove carbon from all filters before adding medication, as carbon absorbs medication very quickly an renders the medication usless.
