According to Officer Juan Barnes, a New Orleans Police spokesman, several streets were closed between Fleur de Lis Drive and Pontchartrain Boulevard because the tower at the old Troop B headquarters had been knocked down. The 700 block of Robert E. Lee was closed due to downed trees and wind debris forced the closure of the 6800 block of Canal Boulevard. Barnes said houses collapsed at the following locations: Germain Street and West End, Filmore Avenue and Canal Boulevard, the 700 block of Crystal Street, the 6800 block of Canal Boulevard and the 300 block of Harrison Avenue. "Don't ever ask the question, `what else could happen?"' said Marcia Paul Leone, a mortgage banker who was surveying the new damage to her Katrina-flooded home. A piece of an extendable jetway used to board passengers was torn off and slammed into another jetway. Motorized runway luggage carts were overturned and several windows were blown out. "There's more damage to the terminal than I saw during the hurricane," Duffourc said. Preparations were under way to move airline operations from the damaged concourse to other areas. I've come unto this conclusion! as another have said also! , in asking the below question openly! again.

The Critical, Experimental Commentary continues the story of Antiochus:
Abomination of Desolation ........ by William F. Dankenbring ....... "Returning from Persia Antiochus came to Ecbatana, after having been put to flight by the people of Persepolis. 'Swelling with anger he thought to avenge upon the Jews the disgrace so done to him, and threatened proudly that he would come to Jerusalem and make a common burying-place of the Jews. . . . He not only opposes God's ancient people, but God Himself. The daily sacrifice -- one lamb was offered in the morning and another in the evening (Exo.29:38,39). was taken away -- by Antiochus" (ibid.).
The first book of Maccabees tells us the details: "The King forbad burnt offerings and sacrifice and drink offerings in the temple, and [ordered] that they should sacrifice swine's flesh . . . Now in the fifteenth day of the month Kislev, "they set up the abomination of desolation upon the altar . . ." and they did sacrifice upon the idol-altar, which was upon the altar of God" (I Macc.1:20,24,54, 59).
These calamities were directly due to the rebellion of many Jews to the laws of God and a widespread apostasy afflicting the land. The first book of Maccabees relates further: "In those days went there out of Israel wicked men, who persuaded many, saying, 'Let us go and make a covenant with the heathen that are round about us . . . Whereupon they built a place of exercise (a school) at Jerusalem, according to the customs of the heathen; and made themselves uncircumcised and forsook the holy covenant, and joined themselves to the heathen, and were sold to do mischief" (I Macc.1:11-16).
The 2300 Days ....... In Daniel's vision, he saw one angel say to another that the vision concerning the daily sacrifice, the rebellion, and the host being trampled underfoot, was to be "2300 evenings and mornings." To what does this enigmatic expression refer?
The Critical, Experimental Commentary gives us the historical answer. Notice! ....... "Unto two thousand and three hundred days -- lit., mornings and evenings, specified in connection with the morning and evening sacrifice. Cf. Gen.1:5. SIX YEARS AND 110 DAYS. This includes not only the three and a half years during which the daily sacrifice was forbidden by Antiochus (Josephus Belllum Judaicum, i, 1, sec.1), BUT THE WHOLE SERIES OF EVENTS whereby it was practically interrupted: beginning with the 'little horn waxing great toward the pleasant land,' and 'casting down some of the host' (vs.9-10); viz., WHEN IN 171 B.C., or the month Sivan . . . THE SACRIFICES BEGAN TO BE NEGLECTED, owing to the high priest Jason intro- ducing at Jerusalem Grecian customs and amusements -- the palestra and gymnasium; ending with the DEATH OF ANTIOCHUS, 165 B.C." (p.428).
In other words, the period of 2300 days meant literal days in the fulfillment which occurred during the reign of Antiochus Epiphanes. This was the period of APOSTASY or REBELLION which began in 171 B.C. and ended in 165 B.C. with the cleansing and restoration of the Temple in Jerusalem by the revolt led by Judas Maccabeus and his brothers. The period of wholesale apostasy lasted 6 years and 110 days -- or 2300 days.
The second book of Maccabees tells us, "Jason. . . labored underhand to be high priest . . . he forthwith brought his own nation to the Greekish fashion. . . . For he built gladly a place of exercise under the tower itself, and brought the chief young men under his subjection. . . . Now such was the height of Greek fashions, and and increase in heathenish manners through the exceeding profaneness of Jason, that ungodly wretch and no high priest; that the priests had no courage to serve any more at the altar, but despising the temple, and NEGLECTING THE SACRIFICES, hastened to be partakers of the unlawful allowance in the place of exercise, after the game of Discus called them forth" (II Macc.4:7-14).
What was so abominable about having a sports stadium near the Temple of God? Gymnastics, running, throwing, and athletics was not the problem as such -- but, as Werner Keller writes in The Bible As History, "True to the Olympic pattern, games were played COMPLETELY NAKED. The body could only be 'covered' with a thin coat of oil!" (p.313). Naked athletes, only a few steps from the Temple and the Holy of Holies, and in full view, must have been regarded as a moral outrage.
The Words of Ha Mashiach ....... In the Mount Olivet prophecy, Jesus Christ, who is the Messiah, whom the Jews await as "ha Mashiach," foretold that just before His Second Coming, events would parallel the apostasy and events during the time of Antiochus Epiphanes. He foretold a time of great and widespread apostasy (Matt.24:4-5, 12-13), as well as military invasion, occupation, and Great Tribulation (vs.21-22) such as the world has never before seen! Daniel prophesied of this same cataclysmic "end time" (Dan.12:1-2).
Jesus said of those coming days, "So when you [His servants living at this end-time!] see standing in the HOLY PLACE [the rebuilt Temple of God in Jerusalem] the abomination that causes desolation, spoken of through the prophet Daniel -- let the reader understand -- then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains" (Matt.24:15). Once again the Temple of God will be defiled and polluted by the End-Time "Antichrist" -- the Beast of Revelation (Rev.13:2-5; 11:2) -- the "Man of Sin," or "Son of Perdition" (see II Thess.2:4-10). This "beast," like Antiochus, will also trample the holy city of Jerusalem for forty two months, or 1260 days -- which is three and one half years! Thus the tyranny and cruelty of Antiochus Epiphanes was an EXACT DUPLICATE of the End-Time fulfillment to come -- even to the exact length of the occupation of Jerusalem and the cutting off of the daily sacrifice!
This suggests, also, therefore, that the 2300 days which were fulfilled by the apostasy lasting six years and 110 days in the time of Antiochus was also an EXACT TYPE of an End-Time, latter day fulfillment to come! When will these 2300 days of APOSTASY and rebellion against the truth of God be fulfilled?

The Kingdom of God and the kingdoms of this world are portrayed by Daniel as in a constant state of conflict that eventually will erupt into open hostility. Daniel foretold that, during the period of the Roman Empire, terrible persecution by a vile person (Daniel 11: 21), later revealed as Antiochus IV (Epiphanes), would take place. ....... The many days (11:33) bring us to a later time period.
Jesus speaks of an abomination of desolation that has yet to come (Mark 13: 14). The most wicked of all antichrists is foretold: The king . . . shall exalt himself . . . above every god, and shall speak . . . against the God of gods, and shall prosper till the indignation be accomplished: for [what] is determined shall be done (Daniel 11:36). ....... There have been many antichrists, as John foretold (I John 2:18), and the driving force of all antichrists is to destroy the Kingdom of God. There shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation. . . . Many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased (Daniel 12:1,4). Knowledge has increased in our generation far beyond anything developed in the past 6000 years. However, having rejected the Creator God, many do run to and fro. They seek unknowingly for what God alone is able to give (II Timothy 3:7). .......
Daniel cried out: O my Lord, what shall be the end of these things? And He said, Go [your] way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end (Daniel 12:8-9). Daniel admitted that there was much in his prophecy that he did not understand. However, it was not necessary for Daniel to know the details of the future since he had the utmost assurance that God controls the future and that His people will reign with the Lord forever. As in any crisis, some will turn to the Lord and some will continue in sin: Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand (12:10). .......
These closing chapters of Daniel's prophecy teach us to be prepared for the coming of Christ, to recognize His reign and His rule over our lives now. because I was born in N. O. , La. 4-11-47, off the corner on Jackson Ave. and Magnolia St. but across the street from Jimmy's Food Store, where my mother had sent me to that store many times, but getting back to to vision! that I had! , it was similar to what Katrina had did but worse! and look like to me that it had happened all of a sudden/so quick and powerful, and all because of unbeliefs I Cor. 15: 1-19-33-58. but then! , I thought to let you'll know of the above vision esp. while we are still here in La. ok? Ezekiel 3:1-14- "18" 21-27. So then! I say this by being at liberty and it is my duty to let everyone know! esp. to them that had been reading our updates and other articles also, but to let the people know in speaking the same thing, but by "doing" our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ sayings in righteousness and holiness all the days of our lives, but only has he leads! On Thursday March 30, 2006 the New Moon of the Aviv was sighted from Israel. The moon was first sighted by Magdi Shamuel at 17:58 from Bet Ezra followed by Eli Shamuel at 18:01. The New Moon was also sighted by a group of observers from Jerusalem, first by Lee Ware, Rivkah Alon, and Libby Moor at 18:09 and then by 11 other observers over the next two minutes. The moon remained visible for many minutes.

Notice that these prophecies involve both Israel and Judah. Who are these people? Most moderns think that this simply refers to the "Jews," and leave it at that. But such is not the case! .......
Jeremiah"s prophetic message is to both "Israel" AND "Judah." Ancient Israel was divided into 12 tribes. In the days of Rehoboam, son of Solomon, the kingdom split into two kingdoms, the northern kingdom of "Israel" with ten tribes, and the southern kingdom of Judah, wih two tribes -- who became known in history as the "Jews." The northern kingdom of Israel was carried into captivity by the Assyrians in 718-721 B.C., and was deported from the land to the region of the Caucasus and Black Sea. ....... History shows that millions of them dwelt in this region, and became known in history as the Cimmerians, Celts, and Anglo-Saxons. They migrated westward and became the nations of Western Euroope and the British Isles. The English-speaking Anglo-Saxons are the descendants of the leading tribe of the northern kingdom, the tribe of Joseph. The United States of America represents, in large measure, the tribe of Ephraim, prophesied to become a "union of states" or peoples, as in "The United States," and England and Canada largely represent the eastern and western portions of the tribe of Manasseh, who was prophesied to become "great," as in "Great Britain" (Gen.48:17-19). ....... Thus many of the amazing Biblical end-time prophecies do not just pertain to the "Jews," the descendants of Judah. They also pertain to the "birth-right" tribes of Israel -- the United States and British peoples, who were prophesied to become GREAT in the last days (see Gen.49, especially verses 22-26, and Deut.33:13-17). The "birthright promises" belonged to the house of Joseph, the leading tribe of the northern kingdom of Israel (I Chron.5:2). The promise of the Torah, and of which tribe the great king and Messiah would come from, however, belonged to the tribe of Judah, or the Jews (same verse)! .......
Thus the end-time prophecy of a "time of Jacob's trouble" is a prophecy relating specifically to the LEADING NATIONS of the Western world, as well as the Jews in what is today called "Israel" in the Middle East! This prophesied "time of trouble," then, must be worldwide -- GLOBAL -- and not just a reference to a "regional conflict" in the Middle East! ....... But Why Are Hard Times Coming? Jeremiah warns of our present end -time predicament. God almighty says of our nations,"why should I forgive you ? Your children have forsaken me and sworn by gods that are not prostitutes. They are well-fed, lusty stallions, each neighing for another man's wife. Should I not punish them for this ?' declares the Lord. Should I not avenge myself on a nation such as this ?" (Jer. 5:7-9). ....... Jeremiah continues his prophecy: "They have lied about the LORD: they said, He will do nothing! NO harm will come to us; we will never see sword or famine. The prophets are but wind [wind-bags], and the word is not in them; so let what they say be done to them. Therefore this is what the LORD God Almighty says: Because the people have spoken these words, I will make my words in your mouth a FIRE and these people the wood it consumes. O house of Israel [America and Britain, etc.], declares the LORD, I am bringing a distant nation against you -- an ancient and enduring nation, a people whose language you do not know, whose speech you do not understand. Their quivers are like an open grave; all of them are mighty warriors. They will devour your harvests and food, devour your your sons and daughters; they will devour your flocks and herds, devour your vines and fig trees. With the sword they will DESTROY the fortified cities in which you trust" (Jer.5:12-17). .......

A man suspected of shooting and killing the commander of the St. John Parish narcotics unit surrendered to authorities and released his hostage unharmed just before noon following a standoff that culminated an early morning crime spree. .......
Suspect John Lee Cheek was caught after a crime spree that ended in a standoff in River Ridge. .......
The suspect, identified as 31-year-old John Lee Cheek, is believed to be from Texas and is wanted on charges there, according to trooper Joey Piglia.
The incident ended at a home located at 124 Joy Street in River Ridge. .......
According to St. John Sheriff Wayne Jones, Cheek and a female companion identified as 27-year-old Crystal Reed, were being stopped by a patrol car during a drug interdiction around 1 a.m. Jones said Cheek and his companion stopped their car but fired shots and sped off as officers approached. One of the deputies was shot in the foot and was taken to the hospital. .......
Crystal Reed was charged with armed robbery, three counts of second-degree kidnapping and possession of the slain officer's vehicle and weapons. .......
As the chase continued, Cheek was approached by Narcotics Commander Octavio Gonzalez who was shot and killed during the altercation.
During the chase and search that ensued, Jones said Cheek broke into a home in the South Grand Lake subdivision of Kenner and tied up an 81-year-old woman, her daughter and a 12-year-old child before stealing the older woman's car and some cash. The woman was taken to a hospital with a hip injury. .......
Jones said Cheek then crashed his car into a ditch in the River Ridge neighborhood of Little Farms before getting out on foot. His female companion was caught and brought to jail.

Deputies from St. John Parish and law enforcement officers from neighboring parishes honed in on River Ridge and began a house-to-house search for Cheek. .......
A rough perimeter was set around Caroline and the River Road and several homes were evacuated. John Curtis School�s summer camp was cancelled due to the search.
The slain commander, Octavio Gonzalez was remembered by an emotional Jones.
"He was my narcotics commander," said Jones. "He was an outstanding officer who was married with a wife and two children." .......
The response to the shooting of Gonzalez included a massive show of force. Law enforcement officials from over a dozen agencies responded, including: Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office, Louisiana State Police, Westwego Police, St. Charles Parish Sheriff's Office, St. John Parish Sheriff's Office, Harahan and Kenner Police, East Jefferson Levee Board, Tangipahoa Sheriff's Office, Orleans Sheriff's Office and the Paradis Fire Department. .......

The New Moon of the Seventh Biblical Month was sighted from Jerusalem on
Sunday September 24, 2006. The new moon was first sighted by Avi Ben
Mordechai at 18:40 from Jerusalem. The moon was also sighted at 18:40 by
seven other observers from the same location including myself, Devorah
Gordon, Ferenc Illesy, Dina Marcus, and Pamela Power. The moon was also
sighted by Bruce Brill, Hen-el Brill, and Galed Zamir at 18:42 from Tekoa. Melekh Ben Ya'akov and another observer sighted the moon at 18:43 from Jerusalem.

�And I saw a beast rising out of the sea, having ten horns and seven heads; and on his horns were ten diadems (crowns), and on its heads were blasphe- mous names. And the beast that I saw was like a leopard, it�s feet were like a bear�s, and its mouth was like a lion�s mouth. And the dragon [Satan the devil � see Rev.12:9] gave it his power and his throne and great authority� (Rev.13:1-3, NRSV).
Notice that this final �beast� kingdom will have ten horns � just like the fourth �beast� of Daniel 7! Notice, too, that it has �seven heads.� And that it appears like a lion (Daniel�s first beast), a bear (Daniel�s second beast), and a leopard (Daniel�s third beast). In other words, this beast is composed of all three of Daniel�s beasts � it incorporates them into its own bestial nature and authority! Since Daniel�s third beast, the leopard, had four heads, then all together this composite beast would possess those four heads, plus the head of the lion, the head of the bear, and its own head � or seven heads combined!
What is this strange beast yet to rise up?
Prophetic Error Compounded
The offshoots of the Worldwide Church of God all seem to speak with one voice and erroneously believe that the Beast of Revelation will rise up in Europe and will be formed by ten nations of Europe. This common fallacy is also believed by many evangelical Christians. It was Herbert W. Armstrong who latched onto this theory, in the 1950�s, and propounded it with fervor and enthusiasm until he died in 1986.
The many churches and groups that came out of the wreckage of the Worldwide Church of God, after his death, all agree that this scenario is correct � they seemingly cannot get past the errors and contretemps of their original leader and his mistakes and false conclusions.
However, one good look at Europe today reveals that it is not a mighty military power of itself; nor is it comprised of �ten horns� or possess �seven heads�!
It should be obvious that Europe will not and cannot fulfill this prophecy of a Beast or World ruling Kingdom composed of �ten kings� or kingdoms. Europe cannot be the fourth �Beast� of Daniel or the Beast of Revelation 13. They both have �ten horns,� representing ten kingdoms. A quick tally reveals that the European Union today already has 25 nations in its membership, and Turkey, a Muslim nation, is knocking at the doors. And even so, Europe is nowhere near a great military power, as the fourth Beast of Daniel�s prophecy and the Beast of Revelation are so clearly depicted to be! Europe doesn�t hold a candle to either the United States, or Russia, today, in military power.
So then � what could be this final �beast� which is �DIFFERENT� from all the other beasts that preceded it? How is it to be �different�?
Expanding the Security Council
In September 2004, the French media group known as Agence France Presse, declared, �Germany, Brazil, Japan, India Pledge Joint Backing For UN Bids.�
The French press report went on to explain how these four nations� leaders (Germany, Brazil, Japan, and India) have concluded a pact supporting each other�s bid for inclusion in the soon to be reformed UN Security Council.
Remember, the permanent members of the Security Council never face re-election once they have been admitted to the select group. Once they are installed, they have power collectively to administer the �security� of the world, which is why they are called the �Security Council.�
Soon after the four nations of Germany, Japan, India and Brazil made their agreement to work together to become members of the Security Council, another nation threw in its bid to be the fifth such added member. The nation of Egypt stepped up to the plate and announced to the UN General Assembly that it, too, wants a piece of the action. Egypt stated that it is �eminently qualified to assume permanent responsibilities� as the l0th member of the soon to be expanded Security Council!
The BBC news reported that �Brazil, Germany, Japan and India have launched a joint bid for permanent seats on the UN Security Council. �The Security Council must reflect the realities of the international community in the 21st Century,� their joint statement said. The four states pledged to back each other�s case and said similar status should be given to an African nation� (news.bb.co.uk, 9/22/2004). The group call themselves the G4 and not only argue for their own collective claim, but also for a permanent seat for an African country. They argue that their size and status mean that they deserve the permanent seats.
Supporters of India�s membership point out that it is the world�s largest democracy where 1.2 billion people live. Brazil�s backers say that they can make a strong case for that nation to represent South America. There is currently no seat for any Latin American country.
The joint statement also said Africa must also have a permanent seat on the Council. A consensus seems to be emerging that Africa has to have a seat. African leaders are currently discussing which of their states should be put forward. Egypt, Nigeria, and South Africa are leading contenders, and Tanzania is putting itself forward. The lack of an Islamic state on the Council will probably have to be addressed. Currently, the US supports Japan, and Britain and France support the case made by the G4 for themselves and an African country.
The Security Council was formed after World War II and the United States, Britain, Soviet Union, China and France � the winners of that war � gave themselves permanent seats with a veto. The Council�s membership has been enlarged from 11 to 15 but the permanent members have not changed. Many countries feel the structure is unbalanced.
A New Look at the United Nations
For years I have been predicting that the final world body or government which will rule the earth will be a revamped, revised, strengthened UNITED NATIONS!
Let�s take a look at the United Nations. It is a truly global governing body, and it is rapidly moving towards a revamped leadership of TEN permanent nations in its governing body, the Security Council! This TEN Nation Group will control virtually every aspect of life on planet Earth! A revamped �Security Council� of the United Nations, with TEN permanent members, would surely constitute a TEN HORNED BEAST!
Ever since the founding of the United Nations, in 1945, at the end of World War II, there have been 5 �permanent members� of the UN Security Council, which is to bring worldwide security, and intervene when necessary to preserve the �peace� of the world. These are the United States, France, Great Britain, Russia (formerly the Soviet Union) and China.
However, in 1997, the present Security Council agreed to add another five members to the favored permanent member list.
Very few teachers of Bible prophecy today even noticed that in September, 2004, 5 nations practically demanded they be included in an already approved expansion of the present Security Council of the UN. With 5 new members added to this body, there would be a total permanent membership of the UN Security Council of 10 members!
Notice again what Scripture foretells for the last days: �And I saw a beast rising out of the sea, having TEN HORNS and seven heads� (Rev.13:1, NRSV). A �horn� represents a war-making power. This is a single �beast� but it is comprised of �ten horns� or military powers which are used to corral the nations and �gore� the nations, and keep them under control � to put out conflagrations and civil wars and prevent nations from attacking other nations, worldwide.
But what are the �seven heads� of this end-time New World Order?
I believe that the �seven heads� of the �beast� are the seven primary nations that govern world finance and the global economy. There are seven nations which lead and dominate the world financially. These nations are the famous �Group of Seven� � that is, the United States, Canada, Great Britain, France, Germany, Japan, and Italy. Although Russia has been invited to attend their meetings, as a diplomatic courtesy, in the interests of world peace, remember that Russia is an economic basket case, and it really NOT one of the �Group of Seven.�
I submit, therefore, that those who look to Europe for the arising of the final �beast� of Revelation, are looking in the wrong place! And while they are still waiting for the Beast to arise, it will arise suddenly elsewhere � in the form of the revamped UNITED NATIONS, with its Secretary-General, Security Council, and General Assembly of nations!
