Through basic osmosis in my husbands' cultural heritage, I began to appreciate the Hellenic culture and way of life. After a few visits to this land of antiquity, I became "A native Virginian and permanent resident of Hellas." | ||||||||||||||||
| The transformation from an American suburbanite to a Greek village dweller is an experience that has meant a lot to my personal growth. My deep appreciation of the Greek peoples' traditions, customs, cultural values, and daily life, places me in an ideal position to share my experiences with other Americans. Hellas (Greece) is not just the wealth of its ruins, but also the courage, heart, and mind of its people. This cultural mix is interwoven into a mosaic which can only be fully appreciated if presented to you by a native Virginian who has taken the time to immerse herself here. | ||||||||||||||||
