| Shaumi Muchi Chwen In English, this translates to "Little Rice Wooden Shoe Village". There are a couple of old factories here that hand make traditional Japanese style shoes. They are a hold over from the Japanese occupation period. This area is starting to attract tourists. (both locals and Japanese) Shoes come in a variety of styles, shapes, and sizes. (From the very small up to Godzilla Size) Worth stopping only if you are interested in this kind of stuff.. (which my wife is...) |
