Hualien Port
One of the more scenic places in Hualien is the port area. There are many benches and pavilions along the water for sitting and watching the ships roll in. You may even see an occasional cruise ship, as Star Cruise Lines now make port calls in Hualien.
Riding a bike through this area is the best way to enjoy the Port. The city has recently improved the bicycle paths in their city parks, and it is now possible to ride from Nanbin Park up through the Port on bicycle only lanes. There are plans to extend this route up to Chishingtan beach in the future. |
