Takeshi Kaga is the man hosts the show, sort of. He is actually just an actor playing an eccentric man who loves to eat. But, for all intents and purposes, it is more enjoyable to believe that he's real. The "Chariman" as he's called, lives in a castle with his Ironchefs and organizes the battles. He does narraration in the beginning of each show. He also always comes out to the food altar in kitchen stadium to announce the beginning of each battle and the winner (he usually is wearing a exotically colored frilly outfit of some sort that in America would have you labeled as a flamer). When the show first started, Kaga was originally dubbed for American TV. But, people liked his deep powerful and often times humorous voice so much that they demanded that he be given subtitles instead. Kaga is most famous in America for his work on Ironchef, but he has many other endeavors as well.
