Introducing the Gang
at the Dominican Republic...April, 2002
Pictures at the Barcelo Bavaro Palace
Well folks here we are in the Dominican Republic. Thousands of miles from the East Coast. The Barcelo Bavaro Palace is one of the most beautiful, all inclusive resorts in the world. We all travelled to this warm, sunny paradise to get away from the dreary New England weather that you get in February and March. We just didn't meet up with some of the best weather one could hope for, but we were lucky enough to meet some fantastic people that we now call "friends". Let's take some time to introduce six of the greatest people on the East Coast of the USA.
Jim and Linda Kelly from North Providence, RI. Linda has that friendly personality that people warm up to right away. And Kel, well people like his sense of humor and of course, most of ll, because he's married to Linda. They enjoyed every minute of their stay in the Dominican Republic. After 30 years of marriage this was a great getaway and well deserved vacation for the two of them. Oh, by the way, they just becameproud grandparents to twins. Maybe that is nother reasonthey are always smiling.
John and Ruth Volpe from Gorham, ME. What a great couple. John is the Ambassador of Maine to the Dominican Republic. Everyday we met some new people all because of John. He took more pictures over those few days in the Dominican than the National Geographic ever would. And Ruth, what a fantastic person. Well she has to be to be married to John. Always had a smile and is friendly to everyone.
Geoff and Maggie Hart from Gorham, ME. Happy, warm and wonderful peope to be with. A down to earth couple that you feel good being around. What you see is what you get. And let me tell you, you get nice people when you meet these two. Oh yeah, Maggie was voted the "Barter Queen" of the week while she was there. And Geoff, he just kept those "cervasa's" coming.
