The 1821, or 4th land lottery opened portion of GA between Ocmulgee and Flint River for settlement.  Comprised of original Fayette, Henry, Monroe, Houston and Dolly Counties, extended from today's Roswell on North to Ashburn on south, ceded to US by Creek Nation Jan 8, 1821 at Treaty of Indian Springs.  By act of May 15, 1821, drawings were held at Milledgeville, the state capitol of the time.  Lot sizes were 202 1/2 acres, 2970 ft sq.
