Note:  The father of Hardin D. Runnels (b. 1789) was Harmon Runnels (b.1749)
          a Revolutionary soldier. In 1785 he married a Miss Howell.  Their
          children were - Hardin D. Runnels (b. 1789); Harmon Runnells; Hiram
          G. Runnels (b. 12/15/1796 in Ga./ d. in 1857 in Texas/ was Gov. of
         Mississippi 1833-1835) and Howell W. Runnels.
