| Here it is finally - the update! Gosh, it has really been a long time since I have added anything to this website. A lot has changed over the past year, and God has amazingly brought me to new places! In February of 2004, I will be approaching the fourth year of being free form anorexia! I admit that this is nothing of my own doing, but God's. He has truly done a miracle in my life, and I totally should not even be sitting here today typing this update! I am currently a middle school Language teacher and middle school girls' basketball coach! Go Eagles! God has really given me a passion for these young girls and to help them grow into Godly young women! Very rarely do I think of giving up and turning back to my hold ways, but when I do, I now think of all these precious young ladies who are looking to me for guidance and an example! I constantly overhear them talking about their weight or food, and it so amazing to be able to encourage them not to dwell and obsess over those things without being a hypocrite! I am at a place where I am at peace with my body and food, and surprisingly ok with my weight gain! It's such a relief not to have my mind constantly dwelling on the things that used to plague and haunt me day in and day out! My two year anniversary was marked by the word grace, and my third year was characterized by a weaving of good and bad into a beautiful peace of work.... As I approach the fourth year, I woud sum it up with this one word: freedom! I feel like the butterfly who has sprouted her wings and feels the freedom to fly anywhere! -Kelly |
