Today, I was provided with more proof that some people should not be allowed to speak. Ever.

It's not like I really needed more proof. I mean, most idiots out themselves swiftly in the course of a conversation. But this one really takes the prize.

So, I'm at work, cause I have to be, and a saleslady from another counter comes over for something. SfAC asks for the product she needs from Clinique and makes some comment about kidneys failing. I heard my name, so I walked over to see what was up. SfAC explains that she had a customer come in for a few things and told a story. Apparently, someone at one of the counters at Nordstrom Galleria told this lady that she needed eye cream for her dark circles. She then proceeded to explain to this customer that the reason she had dark circles was that, at night, the kidneys shut down and that causes fluid to accumulate under the eyes.

<deep breath> SHE ACTUALLY SAID A PERSON'S KIDNEYS SHUT DOWN AT NIGHT AND THAT'S WHY YOU GET DARK CIRCLES UNDER YOUR EYES.

<gaping expression> I... <more gaping> But... <astonishment> Cause... <gasted flabber>

So, this person actually believes that your kidneys just quit while you're sleeping. I have so many counter arguments to that, I don't even know where to start. But if it's true, it might explain some of the kidney pain I've experienced a few mornings. And here I thought it was just too much boozing on my part. I mean, I might have joked about my liver getting up and leaving, but I WAS JOKING!

We carry the line that this idiot person works for, so I'm pretty sure our counter manager is going to call her account exec and report it. And to think, I got chastized for saying I heard some of our lip glosses might be repackaged into tubes. I can only imagine what our trainer would say if she heard we were telling people THEIR KIDNEYS DON'T WORK AT NIGHT! Maybe I'll run it by her and see what she says. She'll be here Tuesday.

Yeah, hush up. I'm not done looking at him yet.
