| September 23th, 2005 I'm in bed with my laptop and some ice cream. Ahhhhh. I'm also watching a docu on the making of the first three Star Wars films on A&E. I love the making of docs. I don't always watch them on dvds I rent. I usually just watch the movie, the deleted scenes and any gag reels, if they are obviously placed. I only watch the docs if I need to see more of an actor. Yeah, I'll admit. I'm not ashamed of saying I'll watch extras for some more shots of yumminess. Speaking of yummy, if I'm not careful, I'm going to eat all this ice cream. It's only a pint, but still, it's real ice cream, so that can be bad. Ok, I put the ice cream away. I went to Bed, Bath and Beyond the other day and bought a bed tray. This is the first time I've used it. It's great. Trying to maintain a comfortable position while balancing a laptop on your knees and typing isn't easy. This is perfect. I've been spending a lot of time at home lately. I'm trying to conserve money. It's actually a successful bid to not spend. I try to put more thought into what I leave the house for and spend my money on. Of course, that doesn't mean my house is impeccable or that I've buzzed through my reading list. And now that I can play on my laptop while in bed, I might only leave the house to work from now on. (Not really.) (Well, we'll see.) I have a new celebrity obsession. He's dreamy. Oh look, here he is: His name is Wentworth Miller. I wonder what his friends call him. I would probably call him "Miller" or "Wentworth Miller." Because when you have a name like that, you really should use it. He's on a new show called Prison Break. It's pretty damned good. I've been watching quite a few of the new shows. I don't know how long I'll keep up with them all, but I have a few I'll watch regularly. I have a distinct feeling I'm going to skip Ghost Whisperer from now on. I only taped the first episode because my new baby (see above) was in it. Now, I have no reason to watch. For which I'm pretty grateful. I won some money at work! There was a drawing for all the counters that met their Beauty Week sales goals and my name was drawn for the $25 prize. I'll get a gift card. It will probably be used for lunches at the cafe and far too many Spiced Teas. I love that stuff. I should stay away from it, because it is addictive. And they have free refills! What's a girl to do?? I even have the recipe, so I can make it at home, but that might spoil the specialness. Or something. Anyway, I won some dough. I was happy. I don't win things that often. Yay me! |
