Read the book in about 24 hours. It was great. It didn't have quite the same feeling as the other books. I figured out why. It doesn't really have a straightforward plot. It was more of a bringing together of the plotlines and filling in the background book. It occured to me today that JK Rowling kind of did that to herself, by not advancing the plot further in the other books. On the whole, I'm not disappointed. I really did love it. But there was still something vaguely dissatisfying about it. Maybe it's because there is only going to be one more book. And it will be another two years before we get that. I'm not going to rehash the plot because I don't want to spoil it for anyone that hasn't plowed thru the book. However, there are some people that should be careful not to piss me off, cause I will shout the spoilers out at them in a fit of rage! Well, maybe not, but we'll have to see.

So, I figured out who I thought the Half-Blood Prince was about halfway through. I was right. I was wrong about who died, though. Much to my great disappointment. By the time I was done, I was really hoping I was right, because I hated the character more than when I had started the book. Harry and Hermione do not hook up. Anyone who has read any of the books would know how dumb that would be. I still think Harry will end up as the permanent appointment to the post of Defense Against the Dark Arts professor. After his stunning career as the Seeker for the Chudley Cannons. And maybe after a stint as an Auror, since he still wants to pursue that field as well.

I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
