| July 15th, 2005 Chicken isn't meat. Seriously. I just heard it on 20/20. John Stossel just said something about Americans grilling "meat and chicken." It was on the news. It has to be true. -- The day is finally here. Almost. According to Laptop Time, I have two hours and one minute until I can get my very own copy of Harry Potter 6. And earlier, I did was is forever going to be considered "the smartest thing Kelley did today." I called Borders about 6:30 and asked how long they were going to be open tonight. I was thinking I might be able to hit them about 1 a.m. and get my book with minimal kids. Cooper, the very helpful guy who answered the phone, suggested I get my tushie up there and get a number from him. Apparently, they are going to call numbers in groups of 50 and check them out with all seven registers open. Cooper did say I would probably have to wait about 45 minutes, because I am #157. I also got a coupon for 25% anything else I buy this evening. <whimpering> I don't need any more books! I already have like eleventy-thousand to read and I won't get to any of those until I'm done with Potter. Course, that might not take long either. I read pretty quickly. But we all know I'll finish the new one and start reading them again from the beginning. Certain pseudo-Canadians have laughed at me for that, but it just makes sense to me. -- Yeah, I got nothin' else right now. |
