I caught quite a lot of flak this weekend for not having updated my website. From people who haven't called me in months. Uh-huh.

I had a fun weekend. I definately needed it. Lord, sometimes you just need to get drunk. On a weekend. There are lots of things I like about my new job, but so far, the number 1 thing is having weekends off. I still love waking up on Saturday and knowing I can stay in bed all day if I want to. And I do like working at a job where people appreciate that I'm smarter than the average bear (as my Mummy used to say).

Anyhoo... we kicked off the weekend with some booze. Yay. Three double Jacks will do ya just fine. And the damned shot that D. bought us. Of course, amidst all the complaining about the "damned shots" we still knocked them back. Ahhhh... Tuaca.

I was shamefully hung over on Saturday. I used to have much more resistance to such things. I guess I'm out of practice on the boozing. But I didn't let it stop me. After dinner with Ben and the Peeps at Ben's casa in Oklahoma (really North Plano, but you know), I went to my friend's hockey game. Late. There were about two minutes left in the game and the score was 11-2. In favor of the other guys. Mike's team sort of didn't have a goalie. But the guys didn't really complain. And then we went out drinking. More Jack and shots of Tuaca followed. Then we headed down to our pal Gary's hizzouse for some Miller High Life and Trivial Pursuit. Being one who feels the need to defend my Trivia Pursuit honor, I was there until almost five in the morning. We called it a draw so we weren't there until 9 am. It was quite the grudge match. But we really won.

Sunday was a day of cleaning. I didn't sleep all that late, and ended up doing all kinds of domestic things. It was an enjoyable day, actually. I still hate dusting, but I'm always glad when I've done it.

So, Monday finds me back at work and updating on my lunchbreak. It's too yucky outside to leave for lunch. I don't know that I'll do a lot of talking about the job on here. What with the firings of people that blog about their jobs. I'll say that I like the job, but sports was better, and leave it at that.
