Well it is a pleasant surprise to have a visitor come through the front door while I am here! I am never sure when and how people arrive. Nor am I sure if I will be in the same room to greet them when they do. With a house of this size, I don't often make it back to this entrance. I am usually too busy online or writing computer programs. I really should take a break, but I am driven to keep up with the technology. Every day counts in this business. Oh, I am sorry if I am boring you. I am not used to talking with people in person since I rarely leave my home. I find there really isn't any reason to leave my home when I have everything at my fingertips. I always communicate through my computers. I talk online, shop online, buy pizza online. So welcome to my home. Since I normally do not have the opportunity to entertain visitors, please pardon the lack of refreshments I have to offer you. Go ahead and have a seat, relax, or feel free to take a look around. Do not worry about getting lost. In each and every room there is a computer. Just go to the computer screen and click on the picture of my house. It will lead you back here. Feel free to go wherever you want to, all of the rooms are connected to one another. Each has many exits and entrances. Wander. Enjoy. If I don't see you again, it was really nice for you to visit. I must go and finish a computer program I am working on. I have been working on it for days. In fact, do you know anything about computers? Have you heard of Hypertext? Well, I am creating a revolutionary new program to create it; it far surpasses the limitations of the current program Storyspace. Hyper Realm, as I have called it will offer authors many more options, allowing for much more creativity and freedom. It will launch hypertext into the market to audiences unfamiliar with it at the present time. My house has become my inspiration for it. My house resembles a hypertext, the fluidity and style that is interconnected, multi-linear and takes you on a journey rather than to a clear destination. That is why I have a computer network running through my house. I am never sure when I will make it back to the same room again. Next week I am going to talk about Hyper Realm on Tech Talk with Mick Luhan. So if you want to find out more about it tune in to Village 103.5. The show is great. I get a big laugh out of some of the callers who are so clueless about technology. Do they live in a box? I mean, how can they not see what is going on all around them? I pity my neighbors who don't understand the technology that I live for. Some call my world a technopoly. They just don't realize what computers have to offer everyone, even my neighbor Hank can benefit from computers. They lack the knowledge and expertize that has enabled me to escalate my status in society. They hold on to their books and to print. They hold on to a past that no longer exists. |
