| Keith F. Gittens was born in Barbados in December 1936. After a 30 year career as a technician in broadcasting and electrical installations, he has settled into a life of retirement and... painting! He is a self-taught artist and his work reflects Barbadian themes, landscapes and personalities, from cricketers to the quaint gingerbread houses that dot the countryside, like the one above. His studio is his patio, surrounded by tropical colour and light. He has sold pieces which now hang in homes in Barbados, Canada and the United Kingdom.
