"Left" is a solid acoustic based songwriting outfit that emphasizes the dynamic quality of their songs.
Started under the name Misery Loves Company in 2001 by singer, guitarist, and B.M.I. registered songwriter Keith Devey, most recently the bassist of the local Sacramento area band "Hive Collective",as a duo with Benjamin Silva of Chula Vista,CA. singing and playing rhythm guitar, and Keith playing lead and rhythm guitar as well as singing back up.The genesis of the "Empty Life" album came from this collaboration between Ben and Keith.
Since the departure of Ben,"Left" is now fronted by Keith Devey and the combination of his voice and songwriting style coupled with the guitar work of fellow B.M.I. songwriter Rick Everett creates a unique style of music that conjures up comparisons to early Tom Petty,Pink Floyd,Eric Clapton and The Eagles .
