Outline Watsuki is the creator and artist of Rurouni Kenshin. He started drawing when he was influenced by his older brother and manga artists as Fujiko Fujio and Matsuru Adachi! Watsuki-sensei had his first work published when he was a freshman in High School, by Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in a Pop*step contest searching for new tallent! After finishing High School Watsuki-sensei became an assistant to Takashi Obata (Yu Yu Hakusho, Cypher)
Wastuki started working on Kenshin in 1994 and has currently finished 26 volumes! ^_^x Although Rurouni Kenshin the TV ha stopped temporarily the manga is still going strong. It is rummored that the Manga will end in the conclusion to the Revenge Arc (How Kenshin got those two scars on his cheeck) But.. enough of Kenshin.. Where here for Watsuki-sensei! ^__^
Watsuki enjoyes playing video games, tho he edmits he doesnt have time for simulation and RPG games, but he loves playing fighting games! Among his favorates are Tekken and Samurai Shawdow. Watsuki also likes to listen to music by ANZI and Kinniku Shoujo Tai. Oh!..an ofcourse he does enjoy watching anime! ^_^ Infact.. he's really in to Neon Genesis Evangelion.. and i belive his character desing for Fuji was simmilar to one of the Eva's.. I think it might of been Asuka's! ^.^
Ohh..an he watches his own, Rurouni Kenshin. Watsuki edmits that he didnt get along to well with the RK TV crew but got to trust them and there work better with time.
As far as influences go Watsukie was also influenced by our American comics such as X-men and Spiderman! The edmioration for American comics can be seem in his Manga. He also likes Action films and one of his favorates are Die Hard, Midnight Runner, an Back to The Future.
