Personality A bright, not intelligence wise, humorous young girl, she comes across as being a little flighty, but she does have a serious side to her. She takes her responsibilities seriously, and cares for others with a tender heart. She is quick tempered and very stubborn which may come from the fact that she was raised by Okina and spoiled a bit by the Oniwabanshu. She idolizes and loves Aoshi Shinomori (who she calls "Aoshi-sama) so much that she wonders out to look for him when he left her at Aoiya.
Background Misao is the only daughter of the late Oniwabanshu Okashira, the one before Aoshi Shinomori. She was left in the care of Okina and the remaining of the Oniwabanshu after her father's death. She grew up surrounded by Oniwabanshu, meaning she had friends like Hannya, Beshimi, ect.. This is how she learned how to fight. She developed a great attachment to Aoshi and Hannya. Simply because Hanyya and Aoshi looked after her a lot. When Aoshi Shinomori, and the remaining Oniwabanshu (Hyottoko, Beshimi, Hannya, and Shikijou) left for Aoiya, Misao was heartbroken. So she set out to look for them all over Japan. Later on she meets up with Kenshin, when she finds out that Kenshin knows something about Aoshi and the rest of the Oniwabanshu, she decides to follow him.
