Kyosato Akira He was Tomoe's fince who joined the Shinsengumi. He was assassinated by Hitokiri when he was on patrol. But before doing so, he managed to give Hitokiri his first mark which now makes up the "X" scar. He was able to do this only through his strong will to live. It gave him the strngth to fight the Hitokiri.
Murakami Murakami was a member of the Yaminobu member who attacked Hitokiri in an ally way. After his death, Hitokiri is met by Tomoe.
Tatsumi Tatsumi was the leader of the Yaminobu organization, which was part of the Bakufu. His wish was to avenge the death of the Bakufu that Hitokiri had murdered. He and his members were hired by Enishi.
Nakajo Nakajo is another member of the Yaminobu organization. He sacrificed his life in order to defeat Hitokiri. Altough he was unsucessful in killing Hitokiri, he managed to deathen him with the explosion.
Sumita Sumita is yet another member of the Yaminobu organization. He was unsucessful in defeating Hitokiri but managed to affect his vision.
Yatsume Mumyoi Yatsume Mumyoi is the last of the Yaminobu members. He used the style called Deskya no Boheki to defeat Hitokiri. He has an abnormally long arm with sharp claw-like devices which he uses as a weapon. He preffers not to be seen and when one does see him, he must be assassinated. Hitokiri was the only person who had seen him and lived. Yatsume, determined to keep his tradition, joins Enishi in the Revenge Arc in the hopes of finishing what he started.
