Personality Very kind and generous person. Though still bitter and sad about his brother's death, he still seems to have a happy life. He becomes a good friend of Kenshin, but later when he learns that he is the person that killed his brother long ago, Shigure becomes furious with Kenshin. He challenges him to a duel which he looses. When finally Shigure realizes he does not live a Hitokiri life anymore, he lets go of the painful memory. Unfortinualy, he gets killed by a government official, who had been working with Shigure on destroying the government
Backround History In the Bakumatsu Shigure was part of the Aizu Clan, enemies of the IshinShishi. His friend Gengatsu is killed on an attack of the Ishinshishi headquarters. He is unable to forget his loss and becomes very unhappy with the new Meiji Era. He, thus, with his group containing anti-government rebels, tries to defeat the government.
