Personality Kaoru has certain feelings about Kenshin and gets jealous every time a woman gets near him. She is kind-hearted and accepts people the way they are..even though it doesn't seem that way with Sanosuke. She is very strong-willed and rules her dojo with an iron fist. However, when ever she gets pissed she swings her sword around and clovers every offending person around her.
Backround History After the Douran, Kaoru's father started a dojo to teach a sword technique called "Kamiya kasshinryu". This sword technqiue was meant for protection not for killing people. However, when her Father got involved in the Seinan War and lost his life Kaoru was left to take care of the dojo and continue to teach her father's technique. She got involved with two Brothers who plotted to scare Kaoru's students and make her sell the dojo. But, when Kaoru then meets Kenshin things begin to turn out positive for her.
Watsuki's View "I didn’t have any particular model. If pressed, I’d say Chiba Sayako of "Ryouma’s Lover," maybe. But, now she’s been reduced to a mere girl (oh well, again.)
