Made a new page for quarter three. Created and updated my web site for the entire 3rd quarter based on the calender for polaris.

Lab-

Worked on drawing of a pink pearl eraser. Updated personal website.

I learned about three different shade depths for a 3-D object.

Theory-

Talked about the eraser and how the drawing can be incorporated in to scuplture, 3d and public sculptured artwork. The Free Stamp by Claus Oldenbure, architecture used as art like the Guggenheim, Frank Lloyd Wright, falling waters. 2 percent of the contstruction cost of a building is used to pay for public artwork. BP's free stamp.

Lab-

McDonald's logo created using FreehandThe logo was taken from the internet. Placed in Freehand and traced over using the pen tool, then the reflect tool. The image is then selected, exported only as a .jpg, uplaoaded and posted to the site.

What I learned in school today:

I learned about Frank Lloyd Wright's falling waters and about the free stamp in Cleveland.

Theory-

Talked about the architect Philip Johnson, MOCA in Cleveland and their connection. Johnson, the outspoken architect who grew up in Cleveland and who designed some of the most famous 20th-century buildings in the United States, Did the Glass House, Abby Aldrich Rockefeller Scupture Garden, Amon Carter Musuem of Art, New York State Theatre, IDS Center, Pennzoil Place, Crystal Cathedral, Cleveland Play House Expansion and Renovation, AT7T Building, Turning Point Scupltures.

Lab-

Did a lesson in freehand with the bruger king logo and scanned in the eraser picture.

What I learned in school today:

I learned about Phillip Johnson whome was an archetect that grew up in Cleveland.

I learned that you can actually stay at the pen field house for a three day weekend.

Took a quiz on soarweb on the harvest for wisdom videos.

Lab-

I took my big type project and got it ready to for Greyhound.Worked on BP logo and worked on getting my site all caught up.

What I learned in school today:

I learned a lot of facts about early printing because of the test and how printers were executed for printing bad ideas in the paper.

Lab-

Did a drawing from Advanced Animation #15. Did demonstration on the pink pearl eraser using freehand to start the layout and photoshop to help illustrate. Updated personal website.

Theory-

Went to presentation on kids toys. You have to be sure that there are no parts on the toy that kids can choke on. You also have to make sure that the toy fits the childs needs and abilities. You also have to make sure that the toy is durable and made with materials that wont break or come apart on the kid while he's playing with it.

Lab-

Worked on business name with partners and came up with a logo. Also finished and printed the box top for education coupon. Updated personal website.

Visitors from Strongsville High school. Did layout for package design sample from 2 point perspective book. Chose a theme and did the design. Due at the end of class. Graded on layout and design. Returned project on Friday morning.

Theory-

Demonstrated how to used the xacto knife again. Properly cut out the package design from yesterday. Defined live area, scoring, cutting, bleed and dead area of an image. Showed simple and direct methods of cutting, scoring, folding and gluing the final box. due at the end of class. Gave proficiency test for the paper cutter. Cutting Scoring Live Area Dead area Bleed Vocabulary Words Freehand candy label due at the end of class.
