Some Of Our Kittens That Have Found Loving Homes
Pictured below are FOUR Tonkinese kittens that have found special homes.
                              A BRIEF DESCRIPTION.

One of the first things I would like to say about the Tonkinese breed, is that they are a very pretty cat. Their eyes are a pretty green to aqua colour, combining the golden eyes of the Burmese and the blue eyes of the siamese. I find them to be very striking cats.

They have lovely short silky coats, which come in 4 main colours, Sable Brown (Seal), Blue (Grey), Chocolate (Champagne), and Lilac (Platinum). These cats are vey easy to groom, you just brush them with your hand while they are sitting on your lap. I don't use brushes at all on our cats, just hands.

Their personality is a cross combining both breeds. They love to play and retrieve things for you, and they are extremely intelligent. Of all the Tonkinese we have bred, most of ours have lean't more towards the Burmese in looks, although the Chocolate's we have bred seem to look a lot like the Chocolate Pt. Siamese.

Unfortunately, these cats cannot be registered or shown in NSW, and this has been the main reason we have restricted our breeding of them, because we like all our cats to be registered before breeding, In some states of Australia they can be registered and shown, and hopefully, this will eventually apply to all Australian states.

This breed of cat needs a lot of attention, and if you are not prepared to give it, they will become bored. They are an ideal breed for those that love dogs, but for one reason or another, are unable to keep a dog.

If you start when they are young kittens, they can be trained to walk on a lead, and will travel well in the car.  If you need to be away for long hours at a time, you may consider having 2 Tonkinese, as they don't like being left on their own.

If you would like a more detailed description, there are many wonderful links out there to provide you with those details. One of the best places to start is here at the           site.
