About Me
Where to begin? Well, my name is Kristin and I was born on September 14, 1983 in Wilkes-Barre, PA the oldest of two. I have a younger sister and have lived in Northeastern Pennsylvania all my life.
I attended private school from Kindergarden through twelve grade. I graduated with honors from Bishop Hoban High School in Wilkes-Barre, PA (soon to become Holy Redeemer High School). While there I participated in the colorguard where I was a captain for my junior and senior years. That role gave me the opportunity to be a leader and teach others different routines using many different props. I was also a member of the high school Computer Club, SADD, and chorus. After graduation, I went on to study information sciences and technology at Penn State University, Wilkes-Barre Campus in Lehman, PA. I thoroughly enjoyed my four years at Penn State and can't imagine what my life would be like without my Penn State education.
At Penn State, I learned the latest programming languages, worked with e-commerce and database design, and software integration through the use of XML. I graduated in May 2004 with my A.S. in IST with an emphasis in software design and then again in May 2005 with my B.S. in IST with and emphasis in Software Integration and Application Design.
In my spare time I enjoy photography, web design, watching ice hockey, playing softball, listening to music and just being with my family and friends. I'm a fan of the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins and the Pittsburgh Penguins hockey teams and enjoy traveling to various away games to cheer on the team and see the sights.
I've had the opportunity to visit several places including Portland, ME, Providence, RI, Syracuse, Rochester, Binghamton, and Albany, NY, Hartford, CT, Manchester, NH, Hershey and Philadelphia, PA and hopefully there will be many more travels in the years to come. I also enjoy taking in concerts and have had the opportunity to see a few big stars like Kenny Chesney, Toby Keith, Josh Groban, Barry Manilow, Jason Aldean, Phil Vassar, and Keith Urban. I've also had the chance to meet a few "famous faces" such as Andrew Firestone (ABC's The Bachelor), country stars Pat Green, Scotty Emerick, and Leann Womack.
