| To Grove City City Council (in response to our flyer),
Is this flyer true ? Are we selling out again to more homes, condo's and apts.? Grove City needs this green space. We could put some ball diamonds, walking paths, benchs, exercise areas to stretch. Maybe an ice skating rink for hockey. How about an indoor faciclity for basketball, hockey, and softball/baseball hitting machines. The ideas are endless. How about another public pool. It does not have to have the fancy slides or mushrooms. It could be built like the old Twin Towers pool. The ponds could be used for fishing holes. We need this area. Please do not let it go to waste. I've been living in Quail Creek for 7yrs. When I moved out here, I talked with the mayor and she told me we were going to get a park out here. To this day I am still waiting for the park. Interestingly though, the park shows up on the map in the book that the Parks and Rec sends out every year. I was watching the news this morning and saw the mayor describing why she put out the Flyer promoting Grove City. Wouldn't it be nice for next year's Flyer to promote GC beacuse not only do we have the best city to live but the best Park system in Central OH.? It is up to you guys. Please don't let big business take over our town, because once it's gone, it's gone. Do the Right Thing !!! Please respond, Tim Mathews |

| From an email message to our group: I applaud you guys for your effort! Before I even knew what GC' s plans for the golf course were I was hoping it including a park. GC is booming, which is great, but it I firmly believe that to be one of the best places to raise a family you must have parks and greenspaces. We don't have a very good selection of either! If you ask me we have plenty of housing to offer, we don't need to tear up the last bit of nature that we have to build yet another apartment complex or more condos. As you can tell by the realtor's newspaper adds each week, Grove City has more than enough houses/condos on the market already, we don't need to add to it. I am following this closely and will be writing to council. Thank you for all you're doing! |
