District Ranger Dave Freeland has made his decision regarding the 3 campgrounds we have fought to keep free. There will be a $5.00 per day fee starting the 2002 season at each of those campgrounds (that's per vehicle). They will have annual passes for $35.00 available. For now boat launching will be free at Old Isabella Rd. & South Fork Recreation area, & they will have designated free parking in those areas, for the vehicles used to launch the boats.
Thank you to everyone who fought with us in the (futile) attempt to keep our campgrounds free. We appreciate the time & support you put forth, & are disappointed that our efforts weren't successful.
